Good product
There was missing scores (that make the umbrella go up and down) also the wood was too fragile at the lateral side of the box , try to bee gentle when you assemble it .

Happy children!
We thought assembly was really easy. Customer service made it clear by emailing me that they would be happy to help if we had trouble. The instructions were clear, supplies well labeled, and the product does have a video too. It looks amazing in our backyard. Feels like a huge sandbox, yet doesn’t take up a huge amount of space. The only reduction in a star is, it’s a little tricky as just one parent to raise and lower the canopy by myself. I’m not very tall, which may factor in, and I think in time I’ll get the hang of it. But basically you have to lift it evenly from the middle with the knobs nice and loose, which really puts your center of gravity in an awkward position especially if you’re short and very pregnant like me! Then, you have to get the knobs clamped down on both sides so it stays up. The canopy is so nice though! Sturdy for fabric, able to be angled for more shade, really able to handle a downpour of water. We’re really glad we got the kids this sandbox, they are crazy about it!

Fun Play in the Sand
My grandson likes to play in this sandbox. I like the way the fabric top lowers down over the sandbox. Too bad the wind took the top off. Can’t win them all.

Does not hold up very long
So we have had this sandbox for 1.5 years. Almost immediately we realize that opening and closing the awning was hard. The two sticks that hold the awning up in the air immediately broke because they are wood and to loosen and tighten the awning It is a metal bolt. The sticks are one by twos that someone has drilled the middle portion out to make two three-quarter inch sticks, which has made them very fragile. Now it’s gotten to the point where it’s almost not even worth moving the awning because we know that it’s gonna fall apart and then we’re not gonna have an awning at all. The awning itself is just like any other canvas awning where it gets yucky, and it’ll start to break down. It’s still intact at this point. It needs a power wash for sure but the wood holding it is so fragile that we’re not gonna do that. The person in the sandbox that looks like a seating area is not even our three-year-old can’t sit on it. It’s too small and our three year-old does not very big. I’d say overall the things that I was excited about on this sandbox (seat, awning, open and closure) have been lacking. I would recommend buying something that is more like a hard plastic. And maybe something with a larger sun protection. That little awning does very little. I think you could spend the same amount on 2 items verses this one thing that would last longer and perform better overall.

Save yourself some money
It definitely got worn down fast. The wood is rather low quality, and it was splitting when we tried to put it together. The longer time went on and it was in the weather, the worse everything got. The fabric cover disintegrated and got dirty pretty quick, the wood began to get mold and fall apart. If you had the lid down to cover the sand part, it kept rain and dew out pretty well. The size was good too, overall. But I definitely wouldn’t buy this one again if I had the do-over. Not worth it for the price.
