⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tons of fun for the money! This little RC truck is an absolute blast! It’s surprisingly fast right out of the box, easy to control, and handles really well on just about any surface. The 4WD gives it great traction, and it’s durable enough to take a beating without missing a beat. One thing I really like is that when the battery starts getting low and it slows down a bit, it becomes perfect for driving around inside the house. My dogs go absolutely crazy chasing it, and it’s become just as much fun for them as it is for me. The included extra battery is a huge plus since you can keep the fun going longer. Whether you’re driving outdoors or just entertaining yourself (and your pets) indoors, this RC truck is well worth the money. Highly recommended!

If you're ready for something faster and more reliable than a "toy" you might find at Walmart or Amazon, but don't want to spend $200 at the hobby shop, this car is the perfect fit. I got my kids RC cars when they were younger and they really liked them but they were cheap toys and once they broke we couldn't repair them or find parts. We were ready for something of "hobby" grade, but that can get really expensive pretty quick. This car from HaiBoxing has the durability, performance, and parts availability of a true "hobby" grade car without the huge cost. A couple highlights: -Fast - Great acceleration, and decent top speed. -Great handling - a smaller car like this can be hard to drive straight but this tracks really nicely, quite a surprise. -Fun - Racing, doughnuts, drifting, jumps, no problem! -Great quality build - though this is very affordable, it has a lot of the higher end things you'd want in an RC like 4 wheel drive and metal drive train including metal dogbones. Those are often plastic on this size and price of car. -Durable - It seems well-made and we've flipped it and crashed it with no problems so far. Because it's so light, even if it crashes at full speed, there just isn't a lot of forces or inertia to cause damage. -Great battery life - The 850 mAh battery lasts for probably 20 minutes, and then there's a second battery, too, which means there's enough juice for everybody to get a turn driving, even Dad. I also like that the battery has the Dean's/T-plug connector. A lot of smaller cars have a proprietary connector, but the Dean's is very common so if you want to get a bigger battery down the line or want to swap out a battery from another car it's not a problem. -Stickers - It came with a sheet of sticker decals that you can put on the truck to customize how you like. My kids thought that was great. -Low Speed Mode - An absolute must! We found this out the hard way. We had another car that didn't have a low speed mode, and it was just too fast to control safely in the house or for the beginner. With this car, a quick switch and your top speed is reduced probably 40% which means you can now drive in the house without damaging the wood or running over the cat. It's also a really nice feature to have if you want to let the neighbor kid or a novice drive the car without you wincing every time he almost t-bones a cement curb. -Parts Availability - We haven't broken anything yet, but when kids are driving at these speeds, eventually something will break, so you want to make sure you can get parts otherwise it's very frustrating to just have a nice car sitting on a shelf because it won't run. I checked ahead of time for this model and every single part on it is available separately so that's good to know. Overall we're extremely pleased with this car and I think it's the perfect fit for the kid who's ready for something faster and better quality than the typical WalMart toy. As an adult, I like it, too. It's fun to do doughnuts and bash around outside, but I just can't justify paying $200 for an RC car, so this car really fits the bill.

My son wanted to use his birthday money to buy an RC car. We picked out a really cool looking one from Walmart for $30 and the thing wouldn't even go in our gravel driveway. We promptly took it back and headed to the hobby store to see what they had. They had a sister brand to Traxxas that were smaller 1:18th scale trucks that fit the bill but were $150. He didn't have that much money to spend so I was going to spend the extra to get him something good. We decided to look online and ran across this little gem called the Rampage. It's got an adjustable fast/slow speed on the remote which is great for a kid learning to drive or even in tight places. It's still pretty fast in "slow" but when in high speed it's almost too fast to control at times but helps it actually still drive through tall grass. We have jumped it off huge ramps, crashed it into brick walls, and the thing just keeps going. The only issue we've had was a bad charger that we got replaced. The only other issue is we've had an axle come out of the hub twice. Once was because of a loose screw which we tightened down, and once was because my dog chased it and bit it hard. Each time was an easy fix and it just popped right back in and we were off and running again. It comes with 2 batteries and they charge in about an hr and last 15-20mins each. This package has everything you need to get going and drive for a while. You can find replacement batteries for as cheap as $12 a piece(links above) and upgrading the shocks from the stock(which are just springs with not dampening) to the oil filled dampened metal ones for $20(link above) is a great upgrade and makes a huge difference. It helps it soak up jumps better but most of all makes it easier to drive. Before in our gravel driveway if you got going fast, it would bounce all over the place so bad you couldn't control it. With the upgrade it is much easier to control. For the money, this RC can't be beat. At least from what I've experienced. My 6yr old does great with it but I wouldn't suggest it for anyone younger.

Battery initially took all day to charge. Drove it around the park in the grass and tennis courts for 1 charge cycle in slow mode and seemed to work well. Then took home to charge. I thought it odd that it only took about an hour to charge the second time. Took it to a dusty ball diamond and drove it on high speed kicking up lots of dust. It only lasted 10min. and the bottom of the car was hot when the battery died. It was about 85° outside. Took it home to clean & charge again. Because it is described as water proof, I briefly rinsed it off under the faucet with the body cover removed. After the battery was charged I plugged it back into the RC truck. The RC lights began flashing rapidly and the transmitter would not connect with the truck and it remained unresponsive. It does this with both batteries. Either the dust or the water killed it. Maybe it'll work when it's fully dried out tomorrow. I'll be returning it if it doesn't work tomorrow which is dissappointing as it is advertised as a robust RC vehicle. UPDATE: Turns out there must be a safety mechanism that senses moisture and won't let it run until it's completely dry. Worked fine the following day. My 4 year old is loving it! Pros: holding up and performing well, seems durable, great runtime on slow mode which is plenty fast for technical terrain and little kids. Cons: Haiboxing company is suspect. Their website is incomplete/non-functioning. I think getting parts and support might be a problem. I emailed them and have not received a reply in over a week. Time will tell. Overall feel it's a good starter RC value when bought on discount. I paid $66

Wow, what can I say about this little beast. Probably one of the best little basher there is. It exceeds expectations, it is super tough, very quick for it's size and handles great. The "fun factor" of these are way higher than many other faster more "high end" name branded RCs. I have 3 of these myself. After showing them off to my family and friends, they have ordered some for themselves because they were so impressed with it. You can bash these without worrying about breaking them within reason! Even in the rain! Yes they are waterproof, more so than I expected, but still wouldn't advise getting it fully submerged (although I took mine through some huge mud puddles, and still all good). I do suggest you clean and WD-40 after running it in the harsh elements to keep it alive and well. I would say the only weak points or cons so far I have found are: -Body shell is thin and will crack quick. However you can cure this by gorilla taping the inside of the shell. It will do wonders, especially where the body mount holes are. While it does add minor weight, it makes the body able to hold up to the abuse the rest of the RC can endure. -Body clips are super thin and these RCs will shed them the first time you roll or flip it. Highly recommend ordering extras and having them on hand when you go out and bash. I ordered some 1/16 clips by apex on Amazon and they are much heavier duty and will actually stay in, plus they come in a pack of 100 so if you do lose one you have tons of spares. -Battery that comes with it does not give you much run time, maybe 10 mins maximum. It also doesn't unleash the true potential of these little RCs. I highly recommend buying a LiPo for it (search "7.4v 1100 mAh LiPo JST", there are a couple options. These are the batteries for WLtoys A949, A959, A969, A979 and A929 and will fit into the HBX Rampage, Hailstorm, and Rachet. You just have to move the screw up one hole on your battery hold down). These batteries are probably the biggest upgrade you can do along with adding the upgraded oil shocks. Turns this thing into a little animal with added punch and acceleration, along with 2x or more the runtime. Only thing is to be mindful about not running the battery too low as I do not believe the ESC has a LiPo cutoff so if you run it too low it can damage the LiPo. -Shocks that come stock are friction style without oil and are extremely bouncy and make it a bit hard to control, and do not protect the chassis from bottoming out so you will bang it up quick. The upgraded oil shocks available for these are completely worth it. Highly recommend. Makes this RC go from toy to hobby grade. The only part I have broke on these is a part in the steering assembly. I would say this is the only weak link in this whole platform. I wish they had an upgrade for it but unfortunately they do not. Just be aware this is the part to check after hard hits and crashes. I have broke 2 on 2 separate occasions. Both were probably my fault as I'm not easy on these at all but as stated before, it is a weak point. What makes it even tougher is the part is not available from anywhere in the USA and has to be ordered from China. It took about 3 weeks for me to get so if you do break this part be expecting a bit of down time. I would also recommend buying extras if and when you do order it. (HBX part# 18109). Overall, I can't say enough good things about this little RC, it has been one of the best most reliable and fun RCs I have ever owned, period. Highly recommend. Thing will take abuse and just keep going, and has great performance to boot. I always bring one in a backpack when I go out bashing any of my other RCs and always end up ending the bash session with it! (My little Ole reliable!) I picked this up because I was tired of the slow and cheap RC cars my 7yo son had received over the years as gifts, and I wanted to show him what fun RC can truly be. I was impressed by how fast and durable it is. It’s great for jumps, sliding, and doughnuts, on gravel, dirt, street, or concrete. The two included batteries actually give a lot of drive time. I highly recommend this truck. I had to get another for myself immediately, so we could drive together. It’s a ready to ride set but almost everything is upgradable or replaceable. A couple of recommendations: while I absolutely recommend this truck at this price point, if you know you’re going to put a lot of use into this I recommend going for the next level up Haiboxing 1/18 truck with the brushless motor, primarily for the included upgrades. We upgraded our shocks to oil filled shocks so it would handle better on gravel, which was a noticeable improvement. The brushless motor model comes with oil shocks included. We also upgraded to the metal gears set, because the included plastic gears will wear out over time. Metal gears are included on the brushless motor model. Again, the shocks were optional per our preference, but the gears were a necessity. So if you know you’ll drive a lot, it’s recommended pay for the one step higher model and you’ll actually save money on these upgrades overall. If you’re unsure how much use you’ll put in, or will drive only occasionally, this is a perfectly great truck. (We drive for at least 1 full battery every day, for comparison.) One neat aspect is that it’s possible to upgrade every part until this truck is the same as the brushless motor model, so if you are invested in this truck, you could turn it into the upgraded model piece by piece if you like.

I have been involved with the RC hobby since I was a young boy (over 35yrs), so I have seen a lot of changes through the years, and have learned a lot about land vehicles, planes, helicopters and quad copters/drones. For the price of this truck, I have not ever seen or used an RC vehicle that was this fun, and of decent quality. These days, it's easy to spend over $100 and end up with crap ( which i have done a couple times). This Haiboxing model 18859 truck is great. I got this for my 5yr old son who has crashed, smashed, and bashed it at high speeds many times, and nothing has broken on it yet. This truck is very fast in normal speed mode, and truly is good quality. Being that it is 4 wheel drive, it burns through our yard on grass with ease, faster and more easily than other trucks my son has that are 3 times its size. The cons....the li-po batteries that came with this do still work, but the charger that came with this does not balance the cells well, so they have started to lose their run time. So the charger is not very good, I use my own balance charger, and I will be buying replacement batteries of a little bit better quality. The shocks that came stock worked fine at first, but after a few months of use they broke down and started to bind up. I was able to find upgraded replacement shocks which are better quality, but they were $20 for the set of 4. So the price of that is steep considering the whole truck and remote with 2 batteries was under $120. The motor in the truck I got (about a year ago in Jan 2022) was not brushless, however it works very well and has plenty of torque. I would have preferred brushless, but that wasn't an option with this model at the time, and honestly this truck does just fine with the brushed motor. It looks like now the newer version comes with brushless. Overall I really can't complain with the two cons I have listed. The amount of use and abuse this has taken at my home has absolutely qualified this truck as a great value, especially for someone like me that wanted this for my son who is new to the hobby. I wanted something cheaper ( as opposed to some rc trucks that are $400-$800), but not junk. And that's exactly what I got with this, it is a great truck for what I paid and I definately recommend it for someone starting out, or who just wants something better than the average big box store rc truck ( like WalMart). My relatives have spent $80+ for trucks that are absolute garbage compared to this Haiboxing model, and my sons truck would drag these across the yard if tied together in a "pull off" fashion. If you are looking for something decent that won't break the bank, is fast, 4 wheel drive, 2.4ghz remote, 2 batteries, and some replacement parts available on the website....this will work for you.

Pretty decent for a kid still fun for adults bought it for my son and after 8 runs the front diff is shot be prepared to invest in the upgraded parts which isn’t a deal breaker great time to spend learning together.

Our 5 year old son absolutely loves this RC car. It is incredibly fast, good quality and withstands lots of rough rising on dirt, grass and doing jumps. Comes with 2 batteries which is great to keep using while the other battery charges. Charge lasts well and not too long to recharge. My husband is so impressed with it he plans to get one for himself too! Well worth the money.

Bought this for my daughter based off good reviews. The first few times we started it up, both front wheels would pivot to the right, and no amount of trim adjustment could get them lined up straight. This made it really difficult to drive and we had to constantly fight it to keep it driving in a straight line. I tried to find solutions online, but they were all related to adjusting trim or doing something to the servo motor. I had no interest in taking it apart to fix. Just wanted it to work. Cut to today: we fired it up and the wheels auto straightened themselves out properly and we drove it full tilt without issue. The only thing I can attribute this to is that my daughter ran it full speed into the curb 4 or 5 times. Maybe this shook something loose which helped the alignment? I don’t know. All I know is that this thing is a rocket and pretty fun to drive. My kid is 9 and has no trouble controlling it even at full speed (now that it drives straight). The “slow” mode is still really fast, and great for when my 7 year old wants a turn. I’m 3 days, it’s held up to curb flips, rolling across the lawn, and front impacts at almost full speed. Nothing has broken yet, but the headlight popped out (easy to stick back in). For $100 I don’t think we could ask for much more. If the alignment issue comes back, I’d change my review to 3 stars, but as it is now, it’s 5.

Have 2 now (for the kids), they’re tough RC’s. Support is good, they sent me a remote and receiver from an issue. Im surprised how long the batteries last, almost an hour at the kids park, on pave. In grass its a different story. Using it in “slow” mode helps to reduce power consumption and can still have fun. Crashed both a few times, still intact. Thinking of getting a third for myself. Worth it. Throttle and steering precise. 100% worth the 100$ CAD. Kids use them often. I steal it and use it too hahah Love it.
