Grow so fast
Get the seeds yesterday and I immediately put in the water to grow. They are already standing to sprouts overnight. Excellent ❤️

Don’t sprout. I recommend avoiding.
It’s been over 2 weeks and none has sprouted. Planted same time with a few other seeds bought the same time and the others have sprouted and growing.

I will update this again after a second attempt, just in case it was user error.
I planted these in several places--in water, in well draining soil, and in waterlogged soil. I planted them in partial sun, full sun, midday sun, shade. The only one to germinate was the one in midday sun. When I was forced to move it out of that location and into a place it would get 4 hours of morning sun, it lagged. It was very slow to grow. After months, it was still only under 2 inches. It didn't survive being moved into a warmer spot as the temperatures dropped. Now, I did attempt a second time, with the same seeds, and nothing germinated. Not in any of the locations. To be fair, I ordered another batch of seeds and followed the instructions. So far, nothing has germinated. But, I haven't gone through the whole batch. I will update this review again after trying all the seeds, but either the germination rate is very low or I'm doing something wrong. In the meantime: Would I order again? Not a 3rd time, not unless I see results. They are supposed to grow in my zone. And I followed what instructions I could find. The first batch didn't have the right instructions on it. Would I gift? If I could get them to work, yes.

Low Germination Rate - If you don’t use the right technique.
Like many of the reviews, I had a terrible germination rate at first, going through about a third of the seeds in the package and only managing to get all of one sapling to sprout in my warm water plant pot. The package says scarification is optional, but trust me, it isn’t. Specifically, you’ll need to use thermal scarification w. hot water if you want a double digit germination rate, since the water mimosa (like most mimosas) can make seeds that remain viable in nature for years. To save you some googling, I’ll explain it. What you’ve got to do is boil a kettle of water, let it cool off for about 10-15 minutes, then add the seeds to about one cup of the hot-but-not-quite-boiling water and leave it for a day in that same water at room temperature. If you’ve got an electric tea kettle, the “green tea” setting will let you skip the cooling time. In about a day, I had root tips coming out of some of my seeds, and almost all of them were swollen. Plant the ones with the root tips in waterlogged soil and repeat the process with the remaining seeds. Most of them will sprout by the next day. I’m glad the product I bought wasn’t defective…water plant shopping has been an adventure. But I really wish the package had made it clear that these seeds need a little extra work to germinate, which is why I gave it 4 stars.
