Great Monitor for the Price, and a Massive Step up from 1080p
When i was looking for a new main monitor for my set up, I when through many different brands, sizes, refresh rates, all the Important things for a Monitor, and for the price i landed on the AOC CQ27G2U Now for the Sweet price £230, i Love the quality of the monitor, I picked up the 27in curved 1440p Monitor, Now this was my first step in to 1440p gaming experience, and i must say that after using the monitor for about a month, i love the experience, the colours are vibrant, and going from 60Hz to 144Hz is Night and day, the smoothness of the monitor, No longer do I deal with frame tearing or Stretched Images, The monitor with its overdrive Mode makes sure that every movement and action I perform it clear and smooth, really allowing me to make the most of the games that I Play, I was massively happy when testing out FPS games E.G escape from Tarkov, The improvement that i had with the increase frame rate and the colours was amazing, being able to correctly identify things at distance things which were near impossible with my old Monitor, Overall Great monitor for the price, My only advice is if you dont have experience gaming with a 1440p monitor, you are going to have to mess around with the colour settings in the OSD to get the Image look right for you!

Quality Monitor with excellent stand
This monitor is excellent. I don't think there is another that can compete at this price point for gaming. The 144hz is the highlight allowing you to play games at 144fps if you computer supports it. It also supports Nvidia G-Sync for smooth gaming with no tearing or dropped frames. Basically super smooth gameplay. The image quality is very good with good range of colours, very sharp images and detail and depth in the blacks. Looks great for movies, games, reading and coding. The 2k / 1440p resolution is perfect for this size screen. The stand is excellent allowing height and tilt adjustment. It even supports mounting in portrait mode. I have since replaced this with a desk arm (it supports VESA mount) to hold 2 screens to free up desk space and to have them aligned without books propping up my second screen. Note it comes with a Displayport cable and HDMI. To get the most from this monitor definitely use the DP cable and if you only have a mini display port get a mini-dp to dp cable. The HDMI cable is only capable of about 60hz at 2k and 120hz at 1080p. DP cable can get you full 144hz at 2k.

Excellent!
Had this monitor for 18 months, its been faultless. Excellent monitor in this price range. A few reviews left me sceptical, assume they were just very unlucky. This truly is a fantastic monitor and really enhances the gaming experience.

Fantastic monitor with good colours and clarity(I got the curved version)
Pros: Sturdy stand, height adjustment and angle adjustment Nice black levels, good colour reproduction for media consumption 27' is a suitable size Has build in speakers(don't expect anything decent though) Thin bezels 144Hz on 1440p Comes with display port and HDMI cables Has a headphone jack behind it Cons: Lacks monitor rotation No HDR Doesn't come with the USB cable for the USB hub so you will need to buy a separate cable if you want to use that Brightness isn't as high as other monitors, only 250cd, but plenty for indoor use, except when there is direct sunlight Some response time issue but not too noticable if you turn overdrive to Strong OSD can be hard to control at times TLDR; Fantastic monitor, colours as accurate as my previous Samsung panel 10/10 would recommend, only downer would be the low brightness, but if it doesn't bother you, nothing in this monitor would.

Nice monitor but overall disappointing features (every thing manual)
Got this to use alongside an LG Ultragear 4k monitor which is fully G-Sync compatible and listed under NVidia control panel, while this monitor is not listed. The LG automatically switches between non hdr and hdr, vrr, game modes, etc, etc, while this model does not. You can also change the game settings on the LG when in HDR, this device you can't. You can't change many settings if you have set the HDR to on, everything has to be set manually using fiddly buttons on the bottom of the unit. The only decent thing on the monitor is the auto switch input and that it has 2 x hdmi as well as 2 x dp ports (lg only has 1 dp port and it doesn't auto switch) with all the limitations it's not a bad display if purchased during sales, otherwise at full price i would be expecting better and would advise to look elsewhere

Conflicting reviews and (some) troubling forum posts were a concern, but it's mostly all good.
Context matters so here's some: I have had a 27" Dell screen for a decade. It has served me very well, but I use newer screens at work that, while also just 60hz, have more vibrant colours and deeper blacks - everything about my Dell monitor seemed greyer than it should after having had it for so long. I don't have a load of money, so a 32" IPS was always going to be out of my budget range. I looked at the competition and was almost tempted by a £300 gigabyte monitor with similarly good reviews, but at £250 and with a slight (and actually awesome) curved display, I went with this. Right out of the box the display looked...disappointing. So I fiddled with the colour settings and very quickly had the brightness down and the contrast up and, well, it looks great. The blacks are deep and the colours rich (I am not into natural-looking colours) and my first game test was Crysis Warhead, a game that always felt washed-out on my old monitor). Looked great, very happy, so loaded up Firewatch, a game where the colours really pop and it too looked great. Finally, Dishonored 2, and yet again I was delighted...until I noticed some light/dark flickering. I jumped into the forums and there were a number of people complaining about this. Seems it's par for the course for VA monitors. It was too noticeable to ignore and not fixed with a display driver update or the monitor's own drivers installed via Device Manager. Seems it's a g-sync thing, so I turned off g-sync and the flickering has gone. Read a lot about this - as it's not an officially supported monitor it seems the flickering occurs when the framerate is adapting to big changes. I honestly can't say I've noticed any great difference since turning it off - play your games at settings that won't result in wild framerate swings and it's really not an issue. This may be a deal-breaker for you, but as someone who doesn't do any gaming that requires stupidly high FPS in order to be a twitchy-shooter god, I don't see this being much of a problem. The smoothness of 144hz vs 60hz is huge and as long as you're not exceeding the power of your GPU the monitor will seem buttery smooth. My eyes do not notice the difference with g-sync off; maybe some of you will but I do not. This monitor does have Overdrive settings that I may play around with at some point but one quick setting change and everything is fine. FYI, my GPU is an RTX 3060.

Great value gaming monitor
Been using the monitor for about a month, and so far really impressed. A good 144Hz VA panel with minimal ghosting and also came with no defective pixels. The stand is probably the best part. it's good quality with some weight, height adjustable, and swivels. Definitely recommend this for a budget 1440p gaming monitor. I don't think you get much better than this for the price bracket

Well made 1440p curved monitor
Good curved 1440p monitor with a super easy set up. Button controls aren't difficult to operate and the picture is crisp. Good colour range. Only tweaking I've had to do was to lower the brightness and a tadge on the contrast. One can also lower your brightness using Nvidia's control panel. Nice curve and operated straight away at 144mhz with HDMI 2.1 cable. Not used the headphone socket yet, nor the speakers, but I gather they're fine for what they are. You can't expect studio monitor reference speakers in such items and the price of this monitor is amazing value.
