**Original review Jan 2018: I think these bars are my favorite food. I’ve eaten one a day ever since I discovered them about four years ago - that’s a whole lot of bars. Now I get them on subscribe & save. I admit they are expensive for the measly five bars you get per box. They also might be an acquired taste. These are a very dense flourless brownie with mini chocolate chips inside. They aren’t like a crumbly cake bar or a chewy brownie bar. I find that they satisfy my sweet tooth while still keeping me full like one of those fancy protein bars. Most importantly, unlike most granola bars, these cause me no digestive issues whatsoever. My kids (ages 7 and 3 years) love these bars, too. It’s nice to feed them a granola bar they love that isn’t full of junk ingredients. These are very expensive, so I have tried many different kinds of brownie bars. Other brands are no comparison. However, Aldi makes a generic version of the Enjoy Life brand that they call “live G free”. They make a generic Cocoa Loco that is almost exactly the same. So my tip to you is to stop by Aldi if you have one nearby. **UPDATE May 2018: Enjoy Life has changed these bars as of 2018. The new ones are in the blue boxes as shown in the product photos. Overall, I have to say that people will probably prefer the new bars. However, they taste noticeably difference from the old bars. It took me a while to get used to the new taste but I think I do like it. The best change is that they got rid of the oversized box. However, while the new blue box is pretty, it is hard to read the white-on-blue text. The ingredient list is changed, but not significantly. The nutrition info is basically the same, except they’re no longer adding in extra vitamins and minerals. The main change is that although the bars remain 1.15 oz, they are noticeably bigger. They’re bigger because theyre lighter and fluffier now.

I absolutely love these bars. I found them at my local pharmacy. Because I have so many food allergies and sensitivities, I was sure they'd contain an ingredient that I can't have, but I was pleasantly surprised to read the label and see that they were allergen friendly. I'm familiar with Enjoy Life because I use their chocolate chips in my bakery recipes, but I haven't tried any snack products by them. These have become a staple for me. I keep them in my pantry at all times. They're perfect for an on-the-go snack - just the right size to satisfy my sweet tooth but not high in calories. They're chocolatey and chewy, and I don't feel like I'm eating a health food. Some might say they're pricey, but I'll gladly pay the money for something that's both delicious and nutritious.

I've been looking for peanut free and egg free snack for my kids for home and school snack. They are allergic. I've tried many products, found some but its either it tastes bad or no taste at all and my kids do not want to eat it, ended up a waste of money coz its been in the pantry and nobody wants to eat it! This Enjoy Life brand is the first of many that they love! And It is not only peanut and egg free but also dairy free and gluten free and non GMO!!!! meaning my husband can also have it since he is on a gluten-free diet. Plus it tasted really good. As for me, my favorite is the fruit & seeds mixed. But my kids love all of them. I bought the chewy bars, the cookie and fruits & seeds! And for the price???whaaat, it is cheap, I would have pay more for this kind of healthy snack! My search is finally over, whoever is the founder of this brand, is a genius! Thank you for making this! :)

I have to eat gluten and dairy free, and my husband and kids are nut allergic. It is real difficult to eat on the go. We keep these bars handy (I eat one every day at work). I always keep a few in my purse and more on long road trips. They are not the greatest tasting, but for the being gluten free and having less sugar than similar snack bars they aren't bad (ie don't expect a cookie or candy bar taste like those overly sweetened snack bars). The sun butter crunch is my fav flavor, but The differences between flavors are not all that great. They are however just the right amount of nutrition to get me through a few more hours of work, travel, or errrands until I can get home to safe food. I have noticed the differences in bar shapes. Seems like sometimes they are longer and thinner and other times shorter and fatter. The shorter and fatter size can make a person feel like they've been cheated on product because there is so much space left in the packaging, but I could not be certain that the actual weights were any different. This is definitely the cheapest place I've found to buy them.

We are huge fans of these little bars. Each box contains five 1oz bars, so they are definitely small, but I think that is a pretty clearly stated detail. My kids love these, and they're a perfect snack or breakfast without being too big for their hands or little bellies. I think they're a great 120 calorie snack for me, too. The Sunbutter Crunch flavor is our favorite, which packs in a multitude of vitamins and nutrients without being too sweet. Obviously, Enjoy Life makes allergy friendly products, but this one is really great regardless. They are nice and chewy with little bits of crispy rice, so there's a good texture combination. They are not dry or chalky or crumbly, nor do they have a weird aftertaste, like a lot of other gluten free items. I've gotten multiple shipments of this 6-box order and have never experienced any problems or inconsistencies with the quality of the product. I don't think this is enough to reduce my 5-star rating, but my only complaint would be the packaging. The box really is too big for the contents, and I feel especially wasteful when I get my shipment of 6 boxes. I immediately take all of the bars out of the boxes and fill a large cookie-type jar, just to save space, and the ridiculously large amounts of cardboard head for the recycle bin. I wish they would make one big box with 30 bars in it!

I wasn't eating the old bars, so I have no comparison to what they 'used' to be like. The bars are not moist, which is actually nice to me, as I'm tired of all the moist snack bars out there. I keep these pretty readily on hand, and probably have 4 or 5 of them a week. The individual price of these at the store is a bit high when you compare it to the overall size, but purchased from Amazon, the pricing works out to a pretty decent amount for what it is; a small snack. My wife, who is not gluten sensitive, even enjoys these bars, and keeps one in her purse for those low blood sugar moments when she needs food immediately. While they are on the dry side, they aren't so bad as some reviews have made them out to be. I don't find it necessary to wash it down in order to clear it out. It's similar to a more condensed brownie. It's not overly sweet like a lot of the snack bars are, which is something else I was looking for. I've been keeping these bars in stock, along with other GF snacks, for the better part of a year, now. I'm happy with them, and will continue to purchase them and keep them in stock.

I have a baby with food allergies and cannot eat wheat, dairy, eggs, or nuts. After a week of this new diet I thought I'd go crazy from missing chocolate and baked goods. Now I am just crazy for these bars. I agree with everyone that the bars are insanely small for the 120 calorie content, but truly, they taste so good I'm willing to overlook that. I'm also willing to overlook the price. After a long day of caring for a newborn and my three other kids and subsisting on chips and salsa, spinach, and meat and potatoes or rice, nothing compares to the bliss I get from enjoying one of these bars. I read another review by a breastfeeder who said once she could eat milk chocolate again she nearly gagged when eating one of these. Maybe that's true, but if you are on a restricted diet, you won't know the difference and these may be the key to your survival. Also, I tried the crunchy chocolate cookies and did not like them. They were too sweet and gave me an upset stomach.

It is tasty, but a tad dry. The bland taste is natural though. I t has a good ingredient list none the less. It is low in sugar content. So, it's great if you're trying to monitor glycemic intake. Nothing to worry about for those of us who need to avoid gluten, or wheat products, since it is gluten=free. I like that it is packed with all natural ingredients. No added sugars, and plenty of whole-food-derived and plant-based proteins. I recommend as a good snack and addition to anyone's diet. Bit, flavor is very bland, and overall it is a little dry.
