Buy the cheap one!
I read the reviews of many of these bases. Several reviews on the cheap ones noted they were flimsy and the outside edged bent up slightly when tightened. This one was more money but only one review mentioned this problem so I spent more hoping it would be a better quality. But the cheap one! This one bent too. The original piece that came with the faucet was much sturdier but the finish failed and a factory replacement was too expensive.
