Excellent - really recommend for help after hip replacement
I purchased this prior to having a hip replacement and was waiting to see how effective it was before writing a review - now 6 weeks post op - the first two weeks were pretty brutal and I needed help so didn't use this then. So this review reflects the 4 weeks of use after that. Conclusion - brilliant ! So pleased with it. (1) A lot of grabbers are pretty 'indifferent'/imprecise/weak but not the one in this kit, which is precise and grabs firmly. It's a joy to use. You can even use it to pull/push your docks off. (2) sock 'putter-on'. I was dubious as it looked like a cross between a skipping rope and a chute. How wrong was I. It's amazing and works perfectly. So pleased as it's really frustrating otherwise to ask for help to put on a sock on the foot of your operate leg. If, like me, you end up wondering why it has a foam rectangle stuck on its underneath - this serves a natty purpose as it prevents your sock sliding off the unit when you load it up with a sock and then start to put your fit in. Genius ! (3) Back 'loofa on a stick'. Great quality and does exactly as you'd hope. Really good as you can feel a little unstable in a shower so need to be careful and ensure a non slip mat. (4) leg lift eg for getting into bed - haven't used that as I managed without it but can see the point as it is hard to do at the start and worse if your muscles are weak. Based on experience with the other items I'd infer that it would aid, but .. So, yes, very well worth buying and I'd thoroughly recommend it.

A massive help post my hip surgery recovery
If you're looking at this, chances are either you need it or a relative needs it. For me, it's been an absolute heaven sent. I've recently had hip surgery and every single one of these aids has been a must have item during my recovery. The sock aid is remarkable. Sturdy material / plastic, durable and does what its supposed to. The grabber especially useful when under hip precautions of not bending past 90 degrees. The foot grabber/ holder has been essential for me as post op, I have been getting in and out of the bath. I have been doing this using a bath chair which sits half in and half out of the bath. When sliding across, the good leg obviously lifts and goes in to the bath after this the foot grabber is brilliant for grabbing the other leg and lifting it it in and out of the bath. The leg grabber is also great post a hip operation when getting in and out of bed. The bathing tool is great to reach areas without excessive bending which lastly leaves the shoe horn / clothes aid. Definately helps to hook on to items of clothing like jogging bottoms or pants and be able to pull them up to a point again where you do not then need to breach any hip precautions that in my case, i am under

Comprehensive disabled living kit. Recommended.
Excellent grabber, sound piece of kit. Well thought through, wire cable control, will pick up cylinderical objects like jars or cans, good rubber claw jaws. Wouldnโt recommend it for hot drinks though, that would be tempting fate. Long handled shoe horn similarly constructed, with screw together tough plastic sections and sock hooks on one end. The sock/stocking putter onner is really good, seems to be well made using skipping rope components. The leg lifter is especially handy for hauling heavy swollen legs onto foot stools. The loofah back scrubber is a useful addition to this kit, but you can buy these anywhere really. All in all, a sound set of useful tools for your daily routine.

Regain your independence and confidence
Awesome piece of kit. I bought it for my partner and it gave her a bit of her independence back following such a major operation. Our grandchildren were so impressed they also were trying out the different aids, the sock aid being very popular and the grabber with the magnet, awesome, the shoe horn adjustable in height with extra uses with the hooks. Highly recommended. My Partner was uncomfortable with having to ask for things and says it's a must have.

I bought this in anticipation of hip surgery. In the old days used to get these items preop from physical therapy preop. Oh, well. Decided I needed to help myself. Not overly priced for number of items. There a dressing with a hook on one end and handy shoe horn on the other end. This is made of a sturdy plastic. The sock helper is helpful when not able to bend down to put on sock. The fluffy washer on a wooden stick has come in handy, easy take a shower post op without compromising hip surgery. There is a "leg mover" which I didn't need but is helpful to get in and out of car, bed etc. It is sturdy. My favorite item is the grabber, quite an improvement over ones of years gone by. Very sturdy with the business end able to pick up just about anything precisely. This is vital to use to avoid hip dislocation. And everything seems to fall to the floor when you can't bend over to pick it up. So grateful I have this. I suspect I will use this way into the future for other purposes such as spring cleanup outside or getting things from upper cabinets. All most forgot to mention this comes with a nice nylon bag to store everything until needed again. I would reccomend this kit for post op surgery.

So nice to have while recovering from injuries to my shoulder and back. Since I'm over 6 feet, having these longer products is better than what I was provided to take home. The grabber did fold on me once, but I suspect that's a spec, to keep patients from lifting anything heavy. Buuuut I am a bit of a maverick, so I just used some K-tape on the folding hinge. I was also surprised by the magnet in it's hook! Really, just helpful stuff in this kit. I'm going to end up using these things after I'm healed and my doctor's pull my restrictions.
