How long it takes to charge a battery car ?

These chargers are ment to charge a little kids ride along cars ,toys 12v batteries that are a quarter the size of car battery and it takes like 5hrs to charge. I imagine it could work for a car battery but you would have to keep a close eye on the temperature of the charger and it would take at least 12 hrs. I don't recommend and be very careful.

can I start and stop the engine with charger connected to battery and wall outlet and charger "on"?

We are afraid not. When the light of the battery charge turns green, you may turn off the wall plug and release the power clip to start the engine.

Instructions say: "You do not need to disconnect it, although that is also an option." What is this referring to?

You may disconnect the battery before charging. During the charging, the charger output needs to correctly connect to the battery charging terminal.
