What’s the difference in taking this versus cranberry tablets?

From WebMD: How does it work? D-mannose might treat the deficiency caused by a genetic defect that causes abnormal breakdown and production of mannose. D-mannose might prevent certain kinds of bacteria from sticking to the walls of the urinary tract and causing infection. ************* This is NOT the same as just drinking cranberry juice! My urologist recommended D-Mannose+Cranberry, and it has worked for me. I went from taking 1 pill a day to 2, one in morning, one in evening. I signed up for the Amazon automatic refill service, so I never have to think about it again. I used to get UTIs often, and slowly but surely, the range of antibiotics stopped working for me. Last time, I had to take 2 rounds of antibiotics. Scary. I don't want to become resistant to them. I really cannot afford to get another UTI. So far, D-Mannose+cranberry has worked for me.
