I ordered the Marcus Fish Tanks Christmas Moss (Vesicularia montagnei) for my freshwater setup, and overall it’s been a lovely, low-maintenance plant that has really improved the look and feel of my tank. Appearance & Growth: Right out of the packaging, the moss looked healthy and vibrant — deep green and nicely textured. Once attached to driftwood and a few rocks with thread and placed in my tank, it started to spread within a week or two. The growth isn’t super fast, but it’s steady and fills in gaps nicely, creating that classic lush, natural aquascape look. Ease of Care: Christmas moss is super forgiving. I didn’t dose CO₂ or add fancy fertilizers, and it still grew consistently with just weekly water changes and moderate lighting. The plant seems to thrive without demanding special conditions, which is great if you’re not running advanced plant setups. Tank Impact: The moss does a nice job of softening hardscapes and providing little hideouts for shrimp, fry, and shy fish. It also helps break up surface glare and gives the tank more depth visually. A few things to know: If you want really quick coverage, you might find this grows slower than some carpeting plants — but that’s expected with moss. It did come with a few tiny bits of debris from packaging, but nothing that affected the health of the plant once rinsed. I expected this venture to fail regardless of the health of the plants upon arrival. I put them in a 300 gallon goldfish pond outside. Having no experience with moss and only having my pond for 3 months, I generally expected that it would take a few tries to get it right. The moss was left in my mailbox, much to my dismay, for over 24 hours during an extreme heat advisory. (I had a tooth removed and no one else checked it.) Even so, it was moist and green with very little brown which I assume was rooting. I immediately spread it out (after checking for stowaways) tied it to a large rock and laid it in the pond. To my surprise it is already spreading down the side of the rock. And growing taller. No stowaways, more plant than I expected, very healthy, what's not to love? I will definitely buy from this seller in the future as I expand my pond life.

OK, but not really good. The moss was yellowed and soon died.

Received a lot more than I thought I would! Very satisfied. It won’t look like the picture until it matures but I can’t wait. I even noticed some tiny flowers on them. So cool!

I was nervous to buy more plants online as I have had good and bad experiences. This was definitely better than I was hoping for. Very healthy nice size portion went a long way on a large piece of driftwood. I used aqua scrapping glue to secure it to the driftwood. I blew of the loose piece which was not much and I had almost nothing floating in my aquarium.

Not what I expected. It’s just moss like what you can buy a bag of for the same price. This would cover about a four inch square. I expected the picture.

Arrived quickly, well packaged and with a lot of healthy looking moss. I didn't see any hitch hikers but will update if any are found. Looks small but once you pull it apart there's a nice portion.

Sales, order filled, packageing, customer service was excellent. Delayed in the mail though.
