BLK Trackball For Blackberry Curve 8300 8310 8320 8330

I ordered this after the local cell phone store (where I have my service) wanted over twenty dollars to sell me a new trackball. Umm.. no thank you. This is my third trackball replacement for my Blackberry Curve 8310 in two years. The phone itself isn't the problem, the problem is the trackball system in general and the fact that I have dropped my phone so many times it's become a joke. This particular trackball replacement installed just fine and has been working for a full month with no issues at all. And it was a bargain - I should probably have ordered two of them at once for the next time I need one in a rush! I am not giving up my Curve phone until something other than the trackball stops working, the phone itself seems to be made of NASA grade materials and refuses to die no matter what abuse I heap on it! When it finally does keel over I'll upgrade to the Dell Streak, but until that happens, I'll just order my next trackball from these guys!

I first tried to "fix" my old trackball, that had issues rolling up. after hours of cleaning and trying to put it back together correctly, it didn't work. I then paid less than $10 ($5?) for a new trackball, and it really revitalizes the phone (esp if you've been using a bad ball for awhile). Highly recommend for a cheap fix to prolong the use of your bb.

How horrified I was when I realized the center of my Blackberry not only fell out, but was lost forever. After reading the reviews for this, I was hesitant, but hey, for $2.37 it was worth a shot. I am happy to report that I was able to pop the replacement in with ease and I now have a fully functioning phone again :) Works just as well, if not better than the original one.

When I got the trackball, it worked great, looked great, was inexpensive and saved me from buying a new phone when my trackball fell out. But after only a couple weeks, I have started having trouble with it not scrolling. I even checked it out to see if dust or something had gotten inside it, but there was nothing. It seems like the wheels are actually getting caught up on its own construction. I can't scroll left to right without messing with it for a while which frustrates to no ends when you are a business person that needs to be able to access what you need right now! Not when the ball decides to work...in front of potential clients. Overall, not impressed.

This product was delivered faster than expected or posted! I think it was here in as little as 4 days! It was for my old phone which my husband has now and you couldn't ask for a better one. The track ball fit perfect in my phone and my husband has had no problems out of it at all. I would recommend this to anyone who has a blackberry model that is listed on the post I bought from. If your phone isn't one of the models listed then don't complain if it doesn't quiet match up. Be sure to know the model type before you make your purchase. I ordered the new part because the clips broke off of my original and the trackball was falling out. The trackball works and fixed my "sticky click" problem (I could only select an option with the "return" key), but the retaining ring did not fit properly at first. After several minutes of trying to reshape the clip closest to the phone's microphone (the clips were a hair too wide and pretty soft) I finally got it to snap into place properly. Now it's secure, but the ball doesn't stick out as far as the old one. I know I will get used to it after a few days, but it feels like I am not able to track as accurately as before. Over all, for $2, it looks better than the old one, is no longer falling out, and it clicks again, so I can't complain. UPDATE: It has been 1 year and this trackball is giving me the exact same trouble that the original trackball gave me after several years. Unless you simply don't have the money and just want piece of mind for a few months; I recommend looking for a higher quality OEM replacement. UPDATE: January 2013, I have replaced this replacement with my original ball until I can find a good quality replacement.

I am very happy with my purchase of a new track ball for my Blackberry! Not only was the price the best I found anywhere (and shipping was included!) but I received the track ball in just 2 days which was phenomenal since my BB was just about useless without a working track ball! My Blackberry is going out of style due to all the product upgrades. When I found accessories online, I bought several of these trackballs. When my original trackball stopped working I went to my "stash" to replace it with one of these. It was easy to replace, but nothing worked. The rollers are cheap and the ball never made proper contact to control the cursor. I took the phone to the carrier and paid to have it fixed correctly and threw the rest of these cheap trackballs away. Waste of money!
