Q: Is this the thin fuzzy stuff that they make pajama bottoms out of?

In all my 65 yrs I have never seen anything like this stuff. It's definitely not what I thought I was buying. This would be good as quilt batting or as fuzzy, warm lining for a jacket. I don't think it's suited for Pj bottoms. Its fuzzy and I'm not sure it would hold together enough for Pjs. I bought it to make a hoodie out of. Not now.

The fabric is thick and not see through nor shiny.

Q: is this good for a backing of aphgan?

I use it as a back fleeze for a large (3 yards) twin bed blanket for vets. As a use for Ashgan I say no.

Q: Would this work to make kids Harry Potter robes for a birthday party?

I think you'd prefer a lighter fabric--this is like a blanket material thickness.
