it humidifies well
this thing is great and the feature to have the steam be warm is really nice. Works pretty well for a mid-size room, although I used it in a spacious living room and just refilled it twice in a day. not noisey at all and the night-mode prevents an obnoxious light at light.

Does a great job.
I only use distilled water to prevent mineral dust from coating the room. It really puts out the water especially if you use it in heat added mode. We live in the mid west and normally only see lows below 20 for a few weeks at most. This year we did have about a week where the lows ran in the low single digits. There was no problem in keeping ~2500 sqFt of house between 35%-40% RH. All the part are easy access for cleaning. I believe sing DI water and not having it on added heat help to keep any mold and bacteria growth down. I saw one review that was questing the accuracy of the unit humidity readings.I decided to check it out by using a recording web/dry bulb psychrometer that I built. For those of you not familure with this method, the temperature difference between a dry thermometer and a thermometer wrapped in wet cloth with air blowing on it is used to determine the humidity. Point being this method is fairly accurate and the biggest variable is the calibration of the thermometers.Bottom line I have been using the unit for several weeks now and the humidity displayed on the humidifier is the same as the psychrometer measurements with in 1% or 2%. That is more than enough accuracy. The other thing to note is that the mist goes out about 2 feet about the top of the unit but it is very quite.I would purchase it again.

Excellent & Quiet Humidifier
The media could not be loaded. Apparently there are different review rules for me than the rest of the community. I have seen many reviews discuss the state of the packaging on arrival, and assure that despite exterior package damage, the product was in excellent condition. I've also seen reviews declare that their product was "clearly used" because it arrived without the interior packaging and wet inside. But when I shared that my exterior packaging was damaged, but the product was clearly well packed and brand new - my review was denied. Weird.Anyway, I had a different humidifier for 4 years. I quite liked that unit, but after 4 years of hard tap water and not making any real efforts to clean the hard water scale, eventually that unit was no longer "whisper quiet" - indeed, it was loud enough to wake me up. So, time to get new humidifier and also take steps to prevent the hard water buildup. After reading many reviews, and trying one other option, I landed on this Oraimo. With a 6L tank, it is noticeably larger than my previous and I only have to add water every 3rd day. I attempted to set it to my desired RH of 60%, but somehow it didn't "stick" and when I woke up in the wee hours, it showed 82% in my room. Starting the next night, I set it to "auto" which defaults to 65% RH, and then it cycles off. If the humidity drops more than 5% (down to 60%), it will cycle back on. It also automatically adjusts between the three intensity levels of mist when set on auto. This unit does not show the current room temperature (my last one did), but does show the current relative humidity as determined by the unit's internal hygrometer at the base of the unit. It does not have a night-light feature (which is fine by me). It does offer a sleep mode which will make the entire display go dark. I wish it had a "dim" feature along with the total dark feature as I do like to see the humidity if I wake up in the middle of the night, but it is a bit bright. Not bright enough to wake me up, but still, a dimming feature would be nice.In the cool mist mode, it most definitely is whisper quiet. I have had to look over more than once to ensure that it really is on and spewing mist. On the warm mist mode, you can hear the heating element and the water hissing and popping a bit. Definitely not whisper quiet in warm mist mode. I haven't tried it beyond just checking to see the difference between cool and warm, so I don't know if it would keep me from sleeping soundly. I prefer the cool mist in general and that is truly whisper quiet.I also took steps this time to purchase some demineralization cartridges to put in the tank to minimize the build-up. The ones I got have two types of cartridges - one that reduces the hard water minerals and another that reduces germs and microbes. I'm using 2 cartridges of each type in the tank and it's making a HUGE difference in the amount of white dust in the room. Definitely recommend investing in such cartridges if you're using tap water rather than distilled in your humidifier.I included a video here so you can hear just how whisper quiet it is on the cool mist mode. It also shows the humidity tick up as it gets closer to the pre-set 65% RH.

Revised... Great Unit and fantastic Customer Service
Revised review - Customer service was second to none as they listned and not only replaced the broken remote, but sent a brand new unit. This humidifier works like one I have never seen before, in the amount of steam in warm setting. In a time were customer service seems non-existant, it restored my faith that some companies, such as this one, will go above and beyond to make sure you are happy, For that, I thank you. Highly recommend purchasing this unit, and if any problems let them know. This is my second unit, since the first one was fantastic. I was happy to finally set it up, almost three months after I bought this one - my mistake. The unit does everything it is supposed to, but being disabled I rely on a remote to be able to use it. I want to know if there is a way to get a replacement for the broken remote. I checked and changed the batteries to no avail. I would recommend this unit, but make sure you check it as soon as it comes in.

Works great
**updated review- the company sent a replacement. The humidifier is very compact yet works great bringing up the humidity in a large room. It has humidity settings so kicks on and off which is great. I love that it has warm and cool mist options. The remote is very convenient to use as this brand has many options- timer, high/low mist, warm/cool, and humidity. It's super easy to fill and to clean which is super important! Overall, I would definitely recommend this powerful little humidifier for anyone that wants to raise humidity in a small or large area without taking up a lot of space. We like it much better than the tower kind we had previously. Great customer service and the company stands behind the product.Worked great the 1st few days although if using on high settings then it requires lots of fills....uses a gallon of water per day. Not sure how accurate the room humidity reading is either. Stopped working after a few days- became noisy and no steam.
