I built a MoCA network to provide high-speed internet and intranet connectivity throughout my home over the existing coax cables. In order to do this correctly, I needed to terminate some unused cables in my junction box, as well as create some short "jumper cables" to go between a few devices. While some reviewers noted that the included coax terminals were not of great quality, they were more than sufficient for my needs. Others commented that instructions were not provided or were difficult to follow, and I agree that the included instructions were not the most complete. However, I had already viewed several YouTube videos on how to properly terminate coax cables before I ordered this kit, that I didn't need any further instructions. As a DIY kind of guy, this is a great kit to have around, and the cost is crazy cheap without being low quality. I would feel totally comfortable using these to help a friend wire an entire home with coax. It takes almost no time to go from a freshly cut piece of coax to a properly terminated end, and is easily repeated with almost no room for error.

This was the first time I worked with coaxial cable. Used to update/put new ends on very old cables to hook up with a new cell phone signal booster installation. All the tools and ends are sturdy and worked great, very easy for a first time user, did a professional quality job, and SO much faster, neater and easier than trying to do the same job handstripping the cable with a knife. Took about a minute to strip, cut old cable and clamp on new end, as neat and solid as new. Money well spent. (Went on youtube for instructions on how to use)

In the past I had done all of my coax cable ends with the twist on connectors. I was never very happy with those. So I bought this in hopes that crimping the joints would be better. And they are. I think, but time will tell. It is the directions that could use improvement ! It took my 4 tries to get a successfully crimped connection. Take Step 10 of the directions seriously and make sure you get the cable inserted all the way before attempting to crimp. It took quite a lot of effort and time and serious pushing of the cable to get that right. The videos do not stress this enough or show clearly how far the cable has to be inserted.

Great and easy to do. Was able to connect cable for home internet to my modem with this.

Awesome price and quality items except the connectors. Maybe it was user error but I was only able to get one to stay on successfully. The rest slipped right off. Followed instructions, watched how to's but had no luck. Not sure if the connectors were faulty or as I said user error but resorted to getting twist on connectors that worked like a charm. The crimper and stripper were great.

We just finished gutting our 122-year-old house, and when we moved back in, we found that the contractor had neglected to put the metal ends on any of our Internet cables. It took an act of Congress to get our Internet company to come out in the first place and do the initial set up of our Internet and so I was having majoring anxiety about having to call them and wait for months for them to put on the end. And then my very handy friend suggested that I look for a kit that would allow me to put them on myself. She knows about all of the things that you never knew you wanted to know about. LOL Well, I found this kit it had great reviews I had seen it used in a YouTube video that was a tutorial and so I bought it best purchase ever! It’s easy to use, the ends are easy to install, and the finished look is as if somebody that knew what the heck they were doing did it. I’ve recommended it to other people since I purchased and used it and I can’t say enough good things about this kit. It has everything you need to replace the ends of your coax. I had to do some research into what coax I had and that type of thing to make sure I was getting the right kit.(I was.) But that was the hardest part of this whole situation. If you, too, are needing to replace the ends of your coax cable, definitely check this kid out. It was easy peezy to use, and I’m super pleased with it! And my internet actually works even tho I installed the ends!!

So yes, this is not the high quality, heavy duty, set a cable installer would probably carry,,, but it really does work. What does not work are the instructions. This can cut 4 different ways but most of us buy this for a regular coax cable with RJ6 connectors so the stripper comes preset. What I did was watch a couple of youtube videos for training. Also, someone a few posts down made a video for the wire stripper. Then I wasted half of the connectors practicing. I think the biggest key if you try to use the instructions (or even if you do not) is they do not tell you to fold down the first aluminum cover and pull down on the mesh wire, but do not mess with the inner foil. Learned that from youtube. But with practice and some trial runs, you can make perfect connections. So I am happy with this purchase. I cut the coax coming from my fiber to the house terminal. Shortened it from 135 feet to 10 feet. Picked up about 6 mbs speed too.
