Dr. Cole’s Hemorrhoid Treatment – Organic Herbal Ointment for External Hemorrhoid Soothing & Comfort – Plant-Based, Gentle, No Petroleum or Harsh Chemicals – 2 oz

This is never fun to talk about but it happens to many of us at one time or another. Unfortunately, I got a very painful hemorrhoid recently, let's say Monday for a timeline, and came looking to Amazon for a healthier, and maybe more environmentally friendly, alternative to what is offered regularly in stores. After reading some really helpful reviews by people who suffer tremendously from this condition, including people who have had to have surgical intervention in the past and finding relief in this product, I was on board to try. Dr. Cole's claims of of organic, non-GMO, cruelty free, and so on, is right up my alley. I ordered it but it wasn't going to arrive until Wednesday. On Tuesday I ended up in a drug store and had to seek something for relief. I had tried a mild homemade fix that didn't work. So, I bought the standard Tucks and Prep H to try to hold me over. They helped some with the pain and itching, but not that much, and didn't shrink the 'roid in the five or so treatments I applied, including overnight. I was out until quite late Wednesday and came home to this miracle jar. You see where this is going, I imagine. I was a little disappointed I had to mix it before use, but better to be safe than sorry, was my thought. I cleansed the area as well as I could to remove the other products and applied my first treatment for overnight. It's now Thursday night, about 24-hours later, and I think I applied it 3 times today, and my 'roid is all but gone. I was honestly considering skipping this evening but I decided, like antibiotics, better to have a little more than you think you need to really knock your ailment out. My only criticism is that the balm started feeling a little thin and uncomfortable several hours after applying it, but it just encouraged me to cleanse and reapply a couple times, which is probably better anyway. And maybe that's normal for creams and balms, I haven't had to use them for this in some time. See Update 2. Previously: The balm got on my soap pump when washing my hands after application so I just washed the soap bottle, too... Update: this product is still awesome. It really helps resolve things in just a few days, sometimes less. Update 2: still awesome and a couple Q-Tips do the application job even better than my fingers. Plus, balm doesn't get on anything else. Love!!!

I've tried all brands. Dr Coles Hemorrhoid Treatment is the only one that works for me. It works right from the first application with no odd ingridients, no foul odor and without any burning. Very confortable and quick soothing relief. Only issue; Make sure to purchase the Hemorrhoid Treatment packaged in the small Round TIN. The suposed to be same product packaged in the PUMP style packaging doesn't seem to work as well for some odd reason, which is quite odd....? The pump type is a white cream as opposed to the (original) round Tin which is a green wax gel, so perhaps the base or some other changed ingridient keeps it from working as well as the original formula in the TIN. (???) Too bad, because the pump packiaging is sooooo much easier to use and also to travel with. The TIN is a PITA to open. Butthe bottom line is Dr Coles Hemorrhoid Treatment packaged in the TIN container is the best product out there!

This product did work to relieve pain and shrink my hemorrhoid, but it takes weeks, months even in many cases. It's not a miracle drug as some reviews seem to suggest (probably fake). It did come with an insert describing behavioral changes you can make to treat and prevent hemorrhoids, and that information is actually key to your recovery while using this or any of the prep-H products. Also, a couple reviews noted that this salve melts and can be messy. This is very true. Your body heat will cause it to become oily liquid. Wearing old underwear that you don't mind stained or a pad is recommended.

I don’t typically write reviews but THIS product needed one. This is hands down the BEST hemorrhoid/fissure treatment. Even better Than Dr. Butler’s - which I tried and found to be pretty good. But even Dr. Cole’s fat exceeded Butler’s. I had been suffering from anal fissures for well over a year. I was so discouraged because I thought nothing work work. Long story short, I tried all sorts of products and finally decided to try Dr. Cole’s. I was skeptical when I first started using it as the relief isn’t instantaneous (it’s fast but not immediate). Mind you, FISSURES was my main problem. I then applied it the next dat, still skeptical. By the third day I was able to defecate without any pain. I couldn’t believe it. I still can’t believe it. Over a year of sharp pain and bleeding, GONE! FINALLY! I still use it everyday to prevent tearing as I believe I’m still healing. I will DEFINITELY be ordering another tin. The tin looks small but it goes a long way. It will be more than enough for you. I also love that the product is more like a wax/hard paste as opposed to a cream. It seems to product the irritated/torn tissue much better. And whatever formula they use definitely helps your body heal naturally. This is a fantastic product. $20 well spent!

So, I've been using this for about a year now. It has worked like nothing else has, and has provided amazing relief. It does take a little while, especially if you have hemorrhoids as bad as mine were. I was at the very brink of surgery, had 2 external hemorrhoids, that were the size of ping pong balls. Seriously! They bled often, and suddenly, even when they were not inflamed or swollen. It took a little while, and I do still have them, but nothing like they were. When they do get swollen and inflamed, I use this and it helps wonderfully. Take a sitz bath, or soak in epsom salts, use this and the next morning the swelling is gone. Use it every night before bed, and several times during the day for the best relief. I keep a tub of this in both bathrooms at home, and a tub in my purse at all times. Needless to say, I am not even contemplating surgery any longer. And honestly, for the amount you use and the relief you get, the price isn't bad, and it's worth every penny. Also, when you buy this, also buy some finger cots here on Amazon too, to use when applying, so you don't use your finger and/or contaminate the tub. If you don't get enough, use another finger cot. Cheaper to buy them here at about $6 for 200 of them.

I finally broke down and visited my doctor for a bout of hemorrhoidal issues that I thought were due to a new prescription medication. She told it was not, and that my only real option was to treat it with over the counter medications. She recommended the silver PH but I was not willing to drop $30-40 every week for this name-brand cream. I turned to google, which suggested Dr. Cole's balm as one of the top hemorrhoid treatments. I scoffed a bit at the price, but compared to the drug store brands, it was worth a try. I AM A BELIEVER! Within minutes of applying the balm, the pain and itching stopped. I am now on day 3 and there is zero pain or other symptoms and things seem to be finally healing (it's been nearly 2 weeks). DO MAKE SURE TO READ THE DIRECTIONS and mix the product thoroughly before using. The amount of product received is definitely worth the money! Very happy with this find, I highly recommend giving this a try if you've had enough with expensive drug store treatments that just seem to mask the symptoms rather than heal.

I’ve been using for a few weeks now and haven’t noticed any changes. Got better and faster results from over the counter products.

I had hemorrhoids that were bleeding so badly and were consistently painful that I very nearly scheduled surgery for them. It was seriously interfering with my life. Really glad I found the Dr Cole's. I was using another product with "Dr" in the name which worked for a time and then abruptly stopped working at all. A closer inspection of the ingredients revealed that hydrocortisone was an ingredient. Well, hydrocortisone doesn't work in the long term because it thins the skin too much, and the body builds up a resistance to it over time. So I stopped using that one and ordered Dr Cole's, which is a legitimately all-natural product. I applied it 3-4 times per day. It didn't work right away, but I noticed improvement in the first week, and after that I didn't have any bleeding other than occasional minor spotting after bowel movements. This too went away. I would say it took going through an entire tin before my condition improved dramatically, and I'm on my second tin now to prevent recurrence and shrink the inflamed tissues even more. At some point I expect to be done using it altogether. Bottom line (pun intended, haha): Dr Cole's has been the most consistently effective product I've tried for this and I'd recommend it to anyone.
