Discover a region in Southern Italy which offers the most tantalizing food, through 75 authentic recipes, cooked with care and attention and using the best ingredients. Italian food reflects culture. In Italy, cooking is the product of geography, history, and religion. โItalian cookingโ is really a patchwork of local and regional cuisines, all fiercely claiming to be the best in the country. Ursula Ferrignoโs own family comes from the south of Italy, and just south of Naples is the Amalfi Coast. It is widely considered to be one of Italyโs most magical locations: breath-taking (literally) winding cliff-top roads, pastel-colored houses tumbling down towards the sea, flower-framed terraces, and trees heavy with the worldโs most coveted lemons at every turn. Discover the delicious food the region has to offer. Vegetable dishes take center stage and both meat and fish are eaten and often combined in exciting ways. In this seductive book youโll find 75 recipes to enjoy, from simple antipasti and ministre (soups) to pane (bread) and pizza, risotto, pollame and carne (fish and meat), and the all-important contorni (vegetable), alongside essays on the food culture and traditions of the area and beautiful scenic imagery. Review: Love my new cookbook - Beautiful pictures of the foods of The Amalfi with traditional recipes and tips on serving and changing variety of recipe. This was a purchase that was well worth the price Review: Stunning cookbook! - This is a beautiful cookbook with gorgeous photographs and drawings throughout. The recipes are done in both metric and US measurements and most have 4 to 6 servings. The recipes also have relatively short lists of ingredients! Well done!

Evocative and inspiring !
I thoroughly enjoyed leafing through Ursula's beautiful new book, pondering which of the delectable recipes to try first, whilst dreaming of visiting the Amalfi region inspired by the evocative photos! I agree with the writer that everything tastes better with lemons, and in our house lemon juice is often used as a good substitution for salt. My family love fresh seafood so I think the "Marinaded Tuna", and "Scallops with Lemon, Bay and Rosemary oil" will be first on the list, closely followed by the "Aubergine and Parmesan bake", apparently a favourite of Ursula's father! The vegetable recipes look equally delicious, and I look forward to amongst others, attempting the "Fried Fennel", "Cauliflower from Amalfi" and "Salad with Aubergine and Onions". Well done Ursula on yet another stunning and inspiring recipe book good enough to eat!
