I'm really happy with this printer and scanner for the price. I use it over WiFi using the Epson app and I haven't had any issues with it at all. It's been reliable, the prints are of a reasonably high quality (I use it largely for return labels and paperwork so mostly black and white with a little colour for logos and headers when needed) with sharp text and no inkbleed. The scanner is of very high quality I find and it works very well at capturing the colour, detail and material of whatever documents I'm scanning (though it can have a tendency to cut off the edges if I'm not very careful) the app is feature rich too, with great level of customisability for prints, scans and so forth. You can select your size, level of detail, how it's arranged on a page, the file format, if you want to convert to black and white and much more. You're also able to troubleshoot and check your ink levels from within the app and there is no forced account or subscription like some of the competition in this price range. The supplied ink appears to be in good volume and quite affordable to replace and third party ink is available with no DRM present that I'm aware of though it may be of inferior quality so your milage may vary. Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase at the price paid. I acquired it during Epson's cashback event and paid approximately 40GBP followed by rebate.

Absolutely Terrible Printer I am extremely disappointed with this Epson XP-2200 printer. The Wi-Fi connection is absolutely terrible, and the printer only works reliably through the app on my phone. Connectivity is a joke. After just one year and three months, the printer has become completely useless. It no longer prints at all, despite my attempts to clean the ink system and troubleshoot the problem. What makes this even worse is that I have printed only 184 pages in total during my entire ownership. A printer should last considerably longer than this, especially with such light use. The reliability is appalling, the wireless connectivity is dreadful, and the lifespan is simply unacceptable. I expected much better from Epson. I would not recommend this product to anyone. A total waste of money.

Great printer value for money always run Epson printers for my home printing needs as compatible inks are always cheaper than the original inks no issues what so ever with this machine. Perfect Great Value For Money

D this is an excellent price for a basic printer. I use my printer occasionally so not every day and this is ideal. It was relatively easy to set up and the app seems pretty straightforward to use. My only gripe is that I now can print directly from my phone as I once did. I have to go through the Epson app. While not a major issue it does mean I have to save documents differently. I haven’t used the ink option where they will send you it automatically as I don’t print every day at the moment. It’s ideal for those that do however The replacement ink is pricey but I guess that’s what you’d expect with the machine being such a low price, Overall very pleased. I have had Epsons before and had no issues *Update The printer stopped working 2 weeks after purchase. Very frustrating so it’s been sent back for a refund

Brilliant printer Epson very user friendly

This printer is decent (certainly for the money) - 2 issues: 1. The black ink ran out with less than 50 normal pages printed (i.e. just text). The other ink cartridges are also less than half full even tho I have not printed in colour. 2. Changing the ink cartridge was not only expensive (£23 for just one cartridge - printer cost was £49 - technically it would be cheaper to buy another one, which is not environmentally friendly at all) but very time consuming. I had to do A LOT of troubleshooting to get it to work, including an incredibly slow software update from Epson's super slow website. It was showing me that the ink had ran out even though I had literally just changed it for a brand new (official Epsom cartridge, not from another supplier). Once the software update was complete (BTW this installs several bits of software that run in the background and clog up your machine, I had to manually disable these), I was able to get my new ink cartridge to work. The whole thing took about an hour, for something that should have taken 2 minutes. You get what you pay for, but I would be more than happy to not have all the "print from your mobile"/wireless options and just have a printer that I connect with a cable and off you go. Better implementation of diagnostics and installs, fewer apps, faster DL would be welcome. From what I've read Epson has installed software that prevents you from using non-Epson cartridges too... I can't recommend this printer to anyone who is not technically savvy - it will drive you mad...

This is great printer for price. Few issues getting it working (password is by the ink ports have to open up to see it) but the app is good. Downloaded driver for my laptop and it came up on printer list.

I bought this to replace another Epson printer. Huge mistake. - I followed the app instructions to a tee, but could not get it to print anything - every test page was blank. Checked the ink cartridges, performed several rounds of head and nozzle cleaning, scoured the support site for any other ideas...but no matter what, I couldn't get it to print anything. Every round of head cleaning reduced the ink levels by another few %, til the black was empty - no idea where that ink was going, or why it wouldn't subsequently go into the paper. When a printer can't perform the basic function you bought it for, what more is there to say? Well, there is actually more - - No interface/control panel. Everything is done via the app/application. Sure, you can trigger some things, like printing a test page, by holding down sequences of buttons in a sort of mystical ritual - good luck finding out what buttons to press, for how long, and in what order though, as this information isn't provided anywhere easily accessible. Half the time is spent waiting for the printer to stop whatever it's doing, as it sits there flashing lights that mean absolutely nothing unless you're an Epson engineer, presumably. - It is slow. Not necessarily in terms of printing - I have no idea how long that takes, as it wouldn't print anything - but press any button on it, and you'll have to sit for a few minutes til it stops flashing and will accept a new command. Half the time I had no idea what it was doing, as there's no guide to explain it. Utterly exasperating, time-wasting rubbish. - To be fair, the app's setup wizard is kind of neat - like a chatbot, though it throws way too many steps at you at points, leaving you scrolling for ages. Halfway through the setup, you're told to initialise the ink levels. Ok, no problem. After triggering that, the app says "Why not set up the wifi while waiting?" since it will take a few minutes. Very efficient, I like it. To connect to wifi, you'll need to enter the device's password. So, where's that then? Well...it's on a sticker inside the scan lid. Which you can't open til the ink level initialisation is complete. Brilliant. It's like no-one tested any of this setup before unleashing this monstrosity on the print-loving masses. It'll be tempting to buy this because it's cheap. Don't do it. Spend a bit more and buy something you won't want to throw out of the window after a couple of hours.

Spent 3 frustrating hours trying to set this up following the poor set-up instructions. App was downloaded easily, but locating the password for the printer was another story. There was no password sticker anywhere despite the instructions saying there was. Eventually got the printer connected only to find that the app won’t operate the printer because the printer is only compatible with 2.4Ghz WiFi 🤷🏻‍♂️ no mention ANYWHERE when buying it, on the box or in the instructions. Total waste of time
