Fixed a Problem and Saved Us $$$
Because our contractor reinforced the tub deck with studs, our Kohler faucet rough-in was deep set. Within weeks of installation, the faucet handles stripped the bottom of the internal plastic thread. A call to Kohler resulted in this kit being recommended to fix the problem. Easy to install, it extended the length of the tub mounted faucet stem, permitting the faucet handle stem to fit snugly around the base stem. Solved our problem and saved us the cost of re-mounting the faucet rough-in kit. Very easy to install - fixing both handles took 5 minutes. A little pricey, but well worth it.
