Great Kit for Honing
Only used the large Hone with small stones so far but it did as expected. I like the ability to keep all my Honing items in a Case to keep them protected.Only one issue i had was one of the three stones wore down quickly. the other 2 wore as expected. I was able to hone all 8 cylinders on a Ford 5.4 L with out issue so the stone lasted long enough. but I wont be able to do another engine with the 1 stone. :( Luckily the kit comes with 3 more larger stones. Ill probably order replacements for the 3 I used.

Works but double check everything.
I agree with all the postings. These are great and convenient, especially for a DIYer. However, the stones wear out extremely quick, especially if you're honing something that is less than the width of the stone. Luckily, they do provide some basic sized stones for whatever job that may be. But again, the stones wear out quick. Also, for the smaller pieces, my spin handler broke (all of them). Only the big one lasted. Overall, I would buy it for emergency purposes as it is alway useful to have one laying around whether it be for car, plumbing, etc.

Good for small jobs.
I liked the price. The storage case seems like a waste because I think of this as a disposable tool. I used this to rebuild brake master cylinder and booster cylinder on a 1956 Caddy. My booster cylinder was in rough shape and I used up both sets of stones for the large diameter tool. Stones west fast when used on steel. I also noticed some uneven stone wear as if mounting point is not exactly centered. The stones seem relatively soft compared to professional hones that I’ve used on engine cylinders. The smaller hone quickly cleaned up the master cylinder pump bore since it is non-ferrous alloy instead of steel. Again I noticed uneven wear of one of the three stones. So, this tool is not bad for the price, but if you are honing multiple steel or cast iron cylinders you might want to find a harder grade stone, or order lots of extra stones.

Used once and worked great.
Nice case and seems to work fine.

Beware Of Bad Stones
All seemed fine then I noticed on the second bore that one stone was already almost completely gone. The other 2 stones look ok but 1 apparently just wore away after just a few minutes. Just glad I didn't let it hit the metal.
