Tapa Inverter Module Assembly for Harbor Freight Predator 2000/1600 Watt Invertor Generator

Not cheap but worked. I honestly should have just replaced the generator. 200$ for this part is pretty close to an open box replacement at hf. But alas it works just like it did before the inverter went out. Speed control works again. Makes clean power and saved this ol 2000/1600 predator from getting thrown away.Made no power before and had overload light with no load.

These two inverter modules look identical on connection cables, but why does this new replacement have only one 2200uF capacitor? The add shows a single and then two in the pictures. Am I safe to install this unit ? Because of it doesn't work, will they take it back?????

This is a repair on my Harbor Freight Predator 2000 Generator.I had a red overload light that came on after starting generator with no load attached. I replaced Inverter Module Assembly and the problem is gone, so it works great now.I have no idea why it went bad in the first place as I had no overloads connected. The only thing I can think of is I had two identical generators hooked in parallel using the HF connector. The other generator had no problems. Coincidence?

Predator 2000, red overload light on with no loads attached, generator wouldn't run for more than a couple seconds. Based on all the data I could find, new inverter was the fix. This module showed up and it's not the one pictured on the listing. Larger wire gauge red and blue wires of the original module are different on the new module and don't connect. The original module also has a second 2200 microfarad capacitor that the new module does not. Returned.

A lot cheaper than Harbor freight, installed right in and had no more overload and my AC outputs were right on. Customer happy and now can use their generator for camping again
