Love it
I rated the remote control as 1 star because there is no remote but everything else about this light is great. The price is right, there are 3 brightness levels and it's just a really great value for the money.They only thing I do not like is that the brightness control is on the cord and you cannot hook this up to a remote system like HomeKit to operate them. I would prefer to just plug it in and let a separate light controller turn it on and off and adjust the brightness.But that's a small concern as it pulls very little power so I just leave it on all the time. Highly recommended for a home studio.

Awesome sign with brightness control but can't control with Alexa even with smart plug
Awesome sign with brightness control but can't control with Alexa even with smart plug. When power is first applied the sign is off and stays off until you push the power on button on the power cord. It defaults to off every time making it impossible to control it via power in/Alexa. I have a 50s retro bar in my home and having to shut off each lighted sign becomes a daunting task. If the power control wasn't digital/built in I'd give this item 5 stars. Controlling the brightness via the control on the cord is excellent by you sacrifice home automation capability.

Excellent…traditional meets modern
I was in broadcasting back in the 1960s when a DJ was in a studio playing records per station format. When the mic switch was flipped an ‘on air’ sign came on outside the studio. That traditional sign is an iconic representation of a former era. Now that digital remote and podcasting is the new ‘norm’ it’s fitting for a new ‘on air’ sign. I love my new sign. I haven’t mounted it permanently because I need to hide the cables. Note to the developer: 1. Use clear wrap around copper wires to make the cable appear transparent. 2. Offer a battery powered version with battery pack hidden behind the two orange bars in the mic. 3. Offer a remote control switch that’s part of the battery pack. I am extremely happy with this purchase.
