Saved me tons of $
It's been a couple months since I got my broken dryer (whirlpool cabrio) back up and running with these parts. I'm pretty thrilled! Seems to be running like normal for a fraction of what the repair man would've charged. Glad I took the chance.

Great product - Not an exact match with the fuse mounting plate.
Not the exact part for my old Maytag, but I was able to drill one screw hole and properly position the fuse. Caution all: Be sure to replace both the fuse AND THE THERMOSTAT! In my case, the thermostat had malfunctioned and let the heaters run wide open, thus blowing the fuse! Good products at a very reasonable price.

Maytag Epic Z Gas Dryer worked but wasn't heating
My Maytag Epic Z Dryer was not heating. The dryer worked, electronics and all but the heat was just not there. I found that there was a kink in the dryer vent that had accumulated a lot of lint, wet lint and this caused the dryer to overheat. I took apart the entire dryer, cleaned all the lint, replaced the dryer vent and then as per the owner manual, began diagnostics to see what had actually failed. I thought it would be the thermal fuse but it wasn't. I ended up buying all the parts and checking for continuity with a multimeter piece by piece. Then bingo! It was the high limit thermostat that had failed. Apparently with no heat it is typically either the thermal fuse or the thermostat that has failed. Purchased this kit and changed the parts and everything worked like a charm. As a side note, I did not use the two screws that came with this kit and just reused the old screws because all the other screws from my dryer were a quarter inch and the head of the dryer screws were different and I didn't want to have to find another nut driver that matched. In the event I need to replace this part (I don't know the quality down the line, only time will tell) this makes it easier since all the screws will use the same driver. Turned on the dryer and ran it a few times to make sure the thermostat worked and it did. This saved me about $800 dollars and no need to hire a technician to do this. Thank you.

Good product but need better instructions
I installed the kit and have used the dryer once and it worked fine. I had some questions about the exact fit statement and Blue Star attempted to answer my questions very quickly and completely but only communicating through email was difficult to explain. Since I’m a little handy I was able to finish the installation. The instructions provided with the kit were poor and useless. There were two screws provided that were needed but they were too small for the holes in my dryer so I was not able to use them for the thermostat. So far I’m very satisfied.

Great replacement for 312968
This was the perfect replacement for our dryer. 312968 part number was no longer available and this was suggested as a compatible substitute. Dryer is back like it never left ☺️

Does the Job
Fingers Crossed... My original high limit thermal fuse was 352 F Most replacements are 309 F (That's an incentive to keep all ducts and filters clear)

The heating element on our 45 year old Inglis household dryer (110 volts) stopped working. So, I removed the back and found it had a thermostat similar to the one pictured and at $16, decided to replace it and try to get it working. At that price, there was little to lose. After the simple replacement, the old heater element worked and the old dryer was again working just like it did in 1977.

The delivery was fast and packaging was good so the parts won’t be damaged during transportation. The installation was very simple and so far after 2 weeks of use it’s still working. The quality of the product looks like the original part. price of kit is also better then others trying to sell one piece.

The kits arrived on time and has everything its supposed to have. I installed the heating element fuse on my whirlpool Dryer and it is heating/drying once again. The real test is to see how long it will last. The last one I bought didn't last a whole year.

I supposedly only need to replace the high temp limit fuse ( it was open circuit). For basically the same price I also bought (in this kit) the operating temp limit thermostat. Often the high temp limit fuse fails because the operating temp thermostat is working intermittently or poorly. It is a good idea to replace both and takes only 2 minutes more time.
