My current Kohler seat is very flimsy. With the lid closed, if you sit on the lid, will it bend/flex, or does it remain rigid?

I returned mine for similar reasons. After I installed it, I sat on it with the lid closed just to ensure it was sturdy & stable. The lid held my weight just fine but I felt the hinges were a bit sloppy as they allowed the seat to shift/slide from side to side as I shifted my weight left & right. So I removed it and sent it back. Mine was also missing the two white Grip-Tight bumpers on the underside of the seat (WTH?). I then bought a very sturdy wood slow-close seat with metal hinges made by Church at Lowes and I love it (ended up putting Church seats in all 3 of our bathrooms).

What is the weight limit for this seat? She is 400+ lbs. We have one like this and the plastic bolt that attaches it to the toilet broke.

I'm not 100% positive this is the model I have, but I weigh around 185lbs., and mine cracked on the side (straight through the spot where the right rear pedestal is, so yes there is more strain on the 4 pedestals, but they are also thicker in those places than anywhere else on the seat). I've no idea when the first crack started, so that might not be related to today's happy situation, when I had to reach over to the cabinet a few inches away and it broke completely. As of now it's wrapped in heavy-duty packing tape, until I find the exact seat to replace it. Hope it's on Amazon, because I don't have any money anywhere else. Good luck, all!!

No, you need model 4636 which is elongated.

Will this fit K 4634 1.6 L toilet?

I don't know the toilet model number which was in this house when we bought it years ago. My toilet is an elongated one in Ice Grey. I picked a seat for that shape & color and it fit perfectly. As far as I'm aware, all elongated toilets from Kohler have the same dimensions, but you can always call them to be sure.

Highly recommended.

I’ve bought a couple of the Kohler replacement toilet seats, always an inexpensive functional and decorative upgrade. Soft close feature is wonderful. While heavy wood toilet seats feel sturdier, I don’t think they look as good, cost more and generally don’t have the soft close feature. Just about anyone can do the installation, simple. Certainly a reliable brand that knows a thing or two about toilets! Regards. Ned.

Fits Portrait well But not Perfectly

Good Elongated Seat. Fits the old Kohler Portrait Toilet pan well. But the Kohler Lustra Elongated is a better shape fit to the Portrait Toilet - although arguably this is a better toilet seat. I have two Kohler Portrait Toilets and bought one of these and one Lustra Toilet Seat (the Lustra is twice the price). I won’t change this Cachet toilet seat for the moment as it’s acceptable. But next time I’ll pay the extra for the Lustra toilet seat. Even though this one is a slightly better product.
