Works great and had bees nesting within 10 days
This thing works great, make sure to put it in a place facing east/southeast that gets sun in the morning. We had bees filling the holes with mud within 10 days.

When you buy your first mason bee house, you also have to buy eggs to establish the colony!
Sturdy and just as described! My bees took to it right away. IMPORTANT: for anyone writing a review and downgrading this product based on the fact that they put the house out and no bees came, please remember that you have to establish the colony first. These wonโt just automatically find these houses and start nesting. You have to go to your local garden store and buy Mason bee eggs no later than February 15. Store them in your refrigerator and carefully insert them inside the bamboo tubes no later than March 1. The eggs will hatch and the females will return to the house to lay their eggs, and so on for generations to come. I have so many bees now that I have to buy one to two new houses each year!

sold enough for what it is
A few of the bamboo shafts arrived loose and fell out. Other buyers may need to glue back in. Frame and fittings are solid enough for the items purpose. Hopefully the local carpenter bees like it. (Still waiting on that, I'm writing this 2 days after I installed it.)

Really nicely made and the holes are large enough!
This is a well made, albeit heavy bee house. Sadly this year Iโve seen barely any carpenter bees.. but should they return, I have this lovely little house for them.

Seems not to attract bees
We have small bees but possibly we don't have any native population of hole-nesting bees. (ie maybe all our small bees nest under vegetation on the ground. But I put this up in the mid-Fall, there's plenty of dirt around in raised beds, for bees to wall themselves in, but I don't see any occupied holes.

Better Construction
Just as pictured, looks more durable than another bee house I purchased last year.

Not What I Hoped For
I bought this bee house before doing much research, and ultimately am disappointed. That said, the bee house is built well and is sturdy and I expect it to attract a variety of solitary bees. However, be aware that the bamboo tubes are short and glued into the house frame making house cleaning difficult and shortens the overall expected lifespan of the house
