I have long hair to the waist, medium thickness, a bit of natural wave slowly going away and tangles much quicker these days too.I went the route of using a smooth wooden comb with a handle, which I do really like, but it doesn’t do squat to help detangle and pulls my hair out while struggling.This particular comb seems to do that job much better upon very first use without causing so much damage and would recommend this specifically shaped comb as a first step of gently detangling frustrating hair.I dig it

I have wavey hair and do not like to use a regular brush on it when it is dry. I got this extra wide tooth comb to help detangle my hair when it's dry and it works great! It detangles easily, doesn't hurt, and it doesn't cause breakage in my hair and helps me maintain my wave pattern all at the same time.

This large comb works well to detangle my wet hair, just out of the shower! I have thick wavy hair. I would recommend it.
