What’s the difference between the 2 black bracelets? Are these ion plated or painted?

Not painted not played, just plain stainless steel. They are not heavy but they do have problems. As sturdy as they look & feel the pins pop out randomly during stress free wear. This has happened several times. If lucky & you recover the pin & link you can repair yourself. Taking them for repair costs more than the bracelets.

Is there any way to adjust the size? Can the links come out?

The links can be removed by a watch repair store or a jeweler. Thank you!
