Quality product
I could have bought a non Brother product but consider paying a little more for Brother original product to be worthwhile and as the ink lasts for a very long time, even though I use the printer most days, I'm Ok to pay a little more. It's a quality product and extremely easy to install and Brother also provides a free pay envelope to return the empty cartridges for recycling.

Great value. Works a treat. Yes the cartridges are like twice as expensive as other brands, but they last about twenty times as long. I’m happy with my Brother printer. If Brother keeps innovating like this, I’ll stick with them.

Expensive
Good cartridges that last a long time, as should be the case with own brand products. Very expensive is the only downside. Given remanufactured cartridges can be obtained for a half the price or less, this appears to be excessive. A shame as the printer I have is excellent.

How to recover from lack of print
Problem when I fitted the Cyan And Magenta cartridges the printer would not print, non error massage. I had to load document from Brother "Check to print Quality" follow the first part of the script . after that the printer worked perfect.. DO NOT USE COMPATIBLE CARTRIDGE, THEY DO NOT WORK-

Print a lot of pages as advertised.
Very impressed. These ink cartridges print so many pages. We print a lot between work, college, lycée and have not needed to change the cartridges in nearly 18 months. It was definitely worth buying a slightly more expensive printer than a very cheap one with ink the same price as these but that only last a short time or break not long after getting. I highly recommend the brother printer and ink.
