Water me this.
Like tents, if there’s a seam, don’t trust it. If you go into this purchase with that in mind you’ll be fine. Also, like a new tent, I put seam sealer on all seams and silicone spray the entire surface. Why, because water finds a way to ruin any plan of keeping dry.I also have a wooden broom stick with a foam pipe insulator on it that I place on the center line under the cover. I did so with a tarp I used in the past. This allows for water to run off to the side instead of pooling in the center and ultimately seep into the seam on top of the cover. The fit is good and I did have to undo the straps and feed up from the bottom of my side step on one side, as the body catch piece wouldn’t fit between the step and side of vehicle. Not a big deal. However, one of the straps in the rear of the cover was too short, probably a side strap placed during assembly at the manufacturer or seller. Currently waiting on a replacement, and I rigged up some paracord to extend To the number in order to use.Worked like a charm the first use when it rained, and the second “Noah event” last night.

amazing!!!!!
Last year we bought a 2012 4 door jeep wrangler for my wife's b day. my wife is 5'2" tall and needless to say she can barely help me take the hardtop on and off. With the unpredictable New England weather and me working evening shift we had to be very selective when we took the whole (3 piece freedom top) hardtop off. Most times we would only take it off for a day then put it back on later before I went in to work. I picked this up and we tried it out. Took the 2 of us about 10 minutes to put it on the first time without any instructions. I asked my wife if she thought she could do it solo if needed and she "no problem!" left the top off for a 4 day run. 3 awesome sunshine 80'+ days then rain on day 4. Left the top off. Wife put it on by herself. She said it took her about 10 min to put it on solo. I cringed while I was at work and seeing the torrential down pours then did not let up for the next 6 hours. Then from there it was light showers on and off again until morning. Next day we got a chance when the rain broke and we went out to put hardtop back on and check to see how the bestop handled the abuse. A little trial and error taking it off with 2 inch deep puddles on top that sagged the cover in around the roll bar but we got it off with out issue. Once off, an inspection of interior showed it to be dry as a bone We were both very surprised!!! In hindsight I'm pretty sure if we socked the cover down tighter the water that pooled would have been less. A lot of people told us to get a soft top but we don't like the way they look. This was just what we needed. Highly recommend !!

High Quality - Did Not Fit My Application
High Quality - Did NOT Fit My Application. I read the description and all the reviews telling me that this would fit my Unlimited with the soft top removed. However, a couple places I read that it would fit with the top down and not removed so I called Bestop before ordering. The CS Rep at Bestop had me go out to my Jeep and tell her what was embossed in the rear window in order to determine if it would work for my application. Upon describing the embossing in the rear window, the rep stated that it would definitely fit with the top down and not removed. WRONG!!!No matter what I did there was no way this top was going to fit with the doors off / top down and not removed. In addition, starting from the front and working back, I felt the coverage on the font side of the front doors was completely inadequate to keep rain out which is the reason for three stars. The fact this did not fit my application did not affect the number of stars in my rating. The cover itself is AMAZING QUALITY !!! It is very heavy duty material and stitching. No shortcuts were taken in the manufacture of this item, unless you consider a slight "shortage" of material a shortcut... Again, it is my fault that it doesn't fit my application. I read the description and reviews that said "top removed" however, I believed the Bestop rep who said it would work...Due to the super high quality material, this cover weighs-in a bit heavier than I would have liked . It also would probably never fit back into the convenient tote bag due to the perfect factory fit and the strap actually narrowing the fit into the bag. Unfortunately, I had to return this item, however, given how much it weighed, and the shortage of coverage around the front of the front doors, I probably would not have used it at all.In summary, very heavy duty material and construction - absolutely DOES NOT fit my 2014 Wrangler Unlimited with MOPAR soft top folded down as opposed to removed.

This cover is flippin' perfect! To the nay-Sayers that whine about it sagging or leaking... I hate that I actually hesitated for more than a year because I believed you. The thing is though, you're just not bright. Do you not know how physics works?? I read your dumb review and perceive that the fabric is not nearly waterproof or even water resistant... you're missing a screw or two. This thing is THE solution to not having a garage in the summer. Even if you have one, what happens when out and about and a storm pops up (I'm looking at you Florida). The material is thick and very water resilient! It's got a soft fleece like underside, so unlike the tarp I've used from time to time it won't haze my beautiful paint job. Just get it. Do it. Don't listen to the babies saying, "omg water pooled in it and it stretched the seams and caused it to leak"... buy a piece of pvc pipe and lay it from bow to stern on top of the roll bars, 5 bucks and it will keep it from pooling. If you ever had a bikini top you know it is going to sag. Some people just need to trade in their wrangler for a liberty... and I need to not listen to their silly complaints.

Preliminary review: Easy install, lighter than they used to be; may not work with crush corners
Arrived and installed today. Mostly easy, except the tabs at the rear won't necessarily play well with crush corners (turns out there is a slight height difference on mine, I blame the installer, who happens to be me): If the crush corners are too close to the lip, the tab will not slot all the way in. Not a product defect, just something to be aware of.Installed over a Bestop fastback top, they seem to play well together, though you have to remove the rear strap hooks from the lip to make room for the tabs on the cover. Again, not a defect, just something to be aware of.There is enough play that it fit over my mirrors, which are on brackets on the A pillar: Loosened the bracket just enough and pushed the mirrors against the doors and the cover fit over just fine. That's a plus.A friend has one, bought years ago, and theirs may be heavier duty. When I've had a chance to compare, I will update this review.

Does not fit so good with a windshield lightbar
Does not fit so good with a windshield lightbar. You're gonna need a couple bungee cords. The plastic securing pieces on the straps don't work with the factory rock sliders.
