Really sturdy construction
Much sturdier than I was expecting, given the low price. Works just great!

Really Helps Ease Pain
I have a bad lower back from an injury years ago, and I also seem to tighten up my legs if I over-exert myself. I used to pop an ibuprofen to deal with the pain or use a topical sports rub. A friend recommended one of these and I finally gave it a try. I am so glad I did as it reduces the frequency I need to use medicine for pain relief.Very light an portable so I can take it with me when I go out for exercise. I toss it in the car when I head out hiking and roll out the tender areas upon return. (I do stretch before I hike too as usual.) I have taken the "weight penalty" of ~10 oz and taken this backpacking with me so I can use it after a long day on the trails with extra weight on my back. Even checked in in luggage on an international business trip to give me some pain relief and removing tightness from the flight when I got to the hotel.Very easy to use. Comfortable to hold with one or both hands. Apply as much downward pressure onto the roller against the sore muscles. Continue as long as needed. The rollers are loose and move well - no binding up. Roll over clothes or directly on the skin.I have a foam roller I also used to use on my lower back. I still use that on occasion for variety but this roller stick generally works but and providing some movement and relief. It is nice to have options!Highly Recommend this!!

A good muscle massager tool that is easy to use for sore muscles and after you work out.
For more than 7 decades I have been into numerous kinds of fitness programs, (Weight training, spring and rubber expanders, power twisters, circuit programs, tactical aerobics, various Martial Art systems, Tabata programs, Military/SEAL workouts, HIIT system, boxing aerobics and many other fitness systems), and when I saw this product (Idson Muscle Roller Stick, 17 inches long) on Amazon I decided to purchase it.Even though I have used many different kinds of muscle rollers over the years I immediately liked this one for a lot of good reasons. (1) It is just the right size to use in a wide variety of muscle massages. (2) The design of the rollers makes for excellent muscle massages. (3) It is sturdy and strong. (4) The handle feels great in the hand when doing the movements. (5) You can easily carry this in your gym bag to use anytime you desire. (6) It is very light in weight. (7) If you are into Tai Chi, Qigong, or Yoga you can actually use this excellent roller in those movements. (8) I found this is actually a good tool to practice numerous Tai-Chi stick type exercises. If you are into working out you may want to checkout this massage stick to enhance your overall fitness program and to make your muscles, feel good after a workout.Rating: 4 Stars. Awesome muscle massage tool!
Bought this product as a cheaper alternative to a fascia release tool that I have been reading about lately but which, upon further and closer research, was actually causing some minor injuries to and side effects on some people who did not read completely enough the directions on how to use it. Working in the medical field, I sought some advice and recommendations from professional friends, and finally decided on a muscle roller stick or muscle massager that would do the same thing as the high-end $90 tool I was considering, but w/ less side effects and no injuries. After some research on all similar tools, I decided to buy this one because of the high reviews from all other buyers of the product. I figured that it would do the same thing as the more expensive one, albeit at probably a slower rate w/ slower results to show, but I thought patience and waiting was better than suffering through injuries and side effects with a more expensive one. Have only used this product a couple of weeks, but already am very highly satisfied with it. It's not painful at all, it actually has a soothing effect on the areas I've massaged, and it has created comforting heat in those massaged areas. When used after a my post workout stretch, it has released tightness and tension from my muscles (I apply a proprietary massage oil first before I use this, to make it glide more smoothly). It helps decrease muscle tiredness and strain that results from a heavy workout and aids in faster muscle recovery. Makes me feel young again whenever I use it, because I recover literally overnight from muscle strain or aches associated with a workout. This is definitely a huge improvement for me, as I usually recover 2 or 3 days after without this tool. So I don't have to go to work feeling tired and fatigued, even though I slept a good night's sleep before, the only difference being I worked out the previous night. Because of the faster recovery period, I'm able to space my heavy workouts into every other day instead of every 2 or 3 days, depending on how tired or strained I felt afterwards. This product has helped me a lot, and it costs just 12% of the other one that I was originally considering. I got my money's worth on this and will consider buying it again. Does it also come in fuschia? Would love to have it in a fuschia-accented or neon yellow-accented handle!

As good as more expensive ones. Gets the job done!
Bought this about two weeks ago. Second one arrived today. Totally gets the job done. I would say that it is great for the price, which it is, but that implies that you give up something and you don't. There is no bending of the rod when pressing down, the rollers all roll smoothly.

Sticking rollers and petrochemical smell from handles to your hands
This works pretty well for massaging sore muscles, although it is limited to the areas both arms can reach at the same time (as expected). Overall not bad, but there are some problems with it.- A number of rollers next to each other in the center frequently stick and don't turn, so you are grinding hard knobs of plastic against your skin instead of having the roll across it. They eventually come loose, but it's annoying to frequently have to shake them free.- The worst part is the handles stink with an oily, petrochemical smell that comes off on your hands when you use this. I tried washing the handles with a rag and dishsoap, but that didn't help. I wound up wrapping the handles in athletic/fabric tape which reduces the smell that gets on my hands, but I still have to wash my hands thoroughly after using it to get rid of the smell completely.
