Absolutely incredible for someone that just had surgery and wants to be able to shower safely.
This is amazing! I just had two spinal surgeries done. So I have two incisions on my left side. They also put two cages, two large rods, and six screws in my lower back. They also took a bone marrow from my left hip to use around the material they installed. Just left me with a total of six incisions. Unfortunately, the covering that they put on in the hospital after surgery had rolled up completely before I even left the hospital after five days of being there. This made it difficult for showering. So I looked on Amazon to see what I could find in individual clear bandages to go over my bandages. I already have were so expensive no matter what brand. When I found this, I figured it was worth a chance especially because my wife was able to just cut one large piece to put it all the way across my back. This stuff has been great. It’s made showering so much easier. Also, it’s nice because I do have to get up and walk with my walker every two hours and I have to wear my brace as well. With putting my brace on and off and sitting and standing so often other bandages we had at home to try and cover up my incision. Bandages just weren’t staying well. This stuff has been great. I had one area that started the peal a little bit and my wife simply cut it off and cut the small piece and replaced it and that piece has been fine ever since. I know that some tattoo shops that I have want to started using this also for after your tattoos were done till you got home. My wife said that it was extremely easy to use. She said she cut a large piece after bringing it up against my back to see how big of a piece you needed. She said you peel the one side and apply it to the skin and then there are sections throughout the wrap to make it easy to peel the hard plastic off the outer side. I absolutely 100% recommend this for anybody that’s in my situation or if you have bandages that you want to cover up for swimming or even just showering like me and you want them to be waterproof this is great. I’m sorry the picture I have isn’t so great. I didn’t want to show the entire bandage across my back in case anybody has issues with seeing bandages with a little bit of blood on. I wanted to be respectful for everybody. I have the wrap rolled up with a rubber band around it and it’s unfortunately too hard for me right now to unroll it and take a picture. I hope you can at least get an idea from the picture I have. It really does work well. The picture I shared that you’re looking at this has been on me for two weeks now.

Dialysis Patient
I have a central line chest catheter (and I’ve also had the peritoneal port)…but this review is for the chest catheter. I cut to size and make sure the catheter and surrounding skin is completely covered with the tape. I’ve had my catheter in for a little over a year. NEVER HAD A PROBLEM TAKING A SHOWER WITH THIS TAPE! This tape works wonders! My catheter stays dry! Now, I don’t recommend…but I have even gone swimming!! (In a pool…stay away from lakes and such!) I trust this product…with my life! Literally!!To use:1. Cut tape to desired length2. Look for the end of that piece where there is a strip of backing you remove first so that you can easily remove the bigger piece of backing.3. Place the tape over the area and press/smooth over the tape4. On the front side, gently pull the blue tabs in opposite directions to remove the plastic lining.5. Ensure the edges of the tape are firmly stuck to your skin by doing one more smoothing motion.Tip: Don’t use a lot of layers. The most I’d recommend is two layers (but it wasn’t necessary for me unless the piece I cut wasn’t long enough to cover the lines of the port.Ask your nurse to cover your port lines with gauze and tape when they clean your port. It helps to have something for the tape to stick to. And I usually leave the tape on until my nurse does the next port cleaning. You do not want to be exposing your entry point. If you try to remove the tape it’s going to take any gauze you have with it! Plus if you’re getting out the shower, you don’t want to remove it anyway because if you’re still wet, water can drip on your exposed port and you NEVER want to get your port or entry point wet! It’s connected to your heart…you must be careful!! I actually had my sister help me place it the first couple of times until I got the hang of it…so it’s ok to ask for help!! Or try placing the tape on your arm or leg to test it out. Run water over your arm or leg. Take off the tape and see if the area under the tape is dry…just a suggestion.I really hope this helps someone out there. Dialysis sucks but your life doesn’t have to. Just keep pushing! You’ll get your kidney soon! 💜💜💜

covered open incision so I could shower
After a major surgery, after all the plastic tubes were removed, I was officially approved to shower again. But I still had some sections of incision that hadn't fully closed, needing to be protected from running water (to prevent infection).I cut off a huge section, peeled back a 2 inch border, attached above unhealed area, and kept the remaining backing attached. This effectively made a plastic skirt which allowed me to stand near or under running water. I showered most of me, protecting the portion of incision that was still fragile. It was a good workaround. I have more surgeries to go and I'm keeping the product because I'll probably need to do it again.Sometimes I could use the same segment twice, unwrapping & sticking a different section to my body.

Hard on the skin
This product use to be great. Something has changed. My husband wears a piece daily to kind of hold his PD Catheter next to his body. That way it is not hanging or swinging around. He has complained daily that it's irritating his skin. Now he has a open wound from scratching. Not sure if they changed the type of glue they use now compared to before. Much harder to peel off the backing as well. I will he looking for other options more gentle on the skin.

Buen producto

It does what it is suppose to do well.
It will keep the catheter site dry. No doubt about it. However, it sticks to the catheter and can be hard to remove. One has to use non stick backing over the catheter then apply this product over it.
