Its terrible
It's literally a bunch of ranting and raving.

Ingenious
Foldes ingeniously uses modern myth to amplify and animate our narrowly constrained concepts of education with imagination and soul. This formulation of expansive thinking and spiritual insight is not to be missed.Reed Morrison, Ph.D., psychologist

Shattered my primitive views. Pick it up and become a better person.
Awesome book. I didn't know what to expect at first, but once I picked this up, it changed my perspective on the world. There have been several things in my view of life that I didn't understand, such as my view of God, and Dr. Foldes' ideas really cleared it all up for me. Of course, the Star Wars terminology makes it all easier to understand and relate to- from one fanboy to another. This isn't some guide on how to be a fictional warrior, Foldes brings you a new approach to becoming a better person, and relates it to popular culture that may make it more interesting and easier to understand. If you want to transcend your shortcomings, grow as a person, and do your part to save our world, pick up a copy and see how much this applies to your life.

Wonderful read
This was a wonderful read. This is not a book to just read over once and enjoy, rather it is truly a handbook to refer back to as it offers precise solutions to many of the problems we have today. It teaches you different types of meditations that will deepen your spirituality if practiced correctly, and there are also many exercises to do with people to build love and peace. It was very interesting to go through the history of philosophy and sum it all up to get to the ultimate truth; Dr. Foldes makes it easy for anyone to follow along and understand it. Truly an exciting read that will point things out to you that you would never have noticed.

This is a truly remarkable book. Highly recommended.
This is a truly remarkable book. It contains a well-thought out Program for healing our world - which surely needs healing - based on cutting-edge science, philosophy, and spirituality and using a Star Wars motif. I was very impressed by the solutions it offers to current problems we are having in politics, health and religion, such as poverty, inequality, and terrorism. I also teach stillness-meditation at the Zendo on west seventeenth street in NYC and have found the Handbook's teachings on meditation and affirmation techniques very helpful and illuminating, on a par with Osho's and Tolle's. The teachings on Relationships were also excellent and superior in many respects to those of David Deida's, because of their grounding in science. I highly recommend this book.(It was strange to me that the Jedi church critics, who must have felt threatened, were unable to grasp that a book whose purpose was only to provide solid scientific grounding to what is known as "the Force," etc., could only serve to strengthen their Jedi teachings and their Orders, not undermine them. They should rather welcome, indeed celebrate this book's appearance.)

Not Jedi, Not Star Wars, but not a complete waste.
Buyer Beware. A few things to keep in mind. First, Verified Buyer's reviews would be nice to see. Since anyone can write a review on Amazon and tout the praises of friends.Ken Foldes sent me a copy of his book back in March (2014). So allow me to clear up a couple things.1.) There is an actual philosophical path based upon the various concepts espouse by the fictional Jedi Knights. If this is what you are looking for - A Jedi Handbook on how to live like a Jedi in Everyday Life? That is not what this book is. This does not discuss the Jedi Path or Jedi Ideology. It has no connection to the existing Jedi Community in which Ken Foldes merely sought to capitalize on. And actually disregards and disrespects the work of this long standing community. Now for those not associated with that culture and community, I am sure that matters little. But I just want to make sure no one throws 30 dollars on erroneous marketing.2.) This is a repackaging of his previous work: Hegel and the Solution to Our Postmodern World Crisis: From Nihilism to Kingdom ComeUnder that this book is what it is sort of claiming - pre-existing ideas and philosophies wearing the mask of Star Wars Terminology. It looks at Hegelianism. Wrapping Hegel in a new brand and seeking the mass market. Not a bad idea. Certainly it may get a younger generation looking at Hegel. But the terminology is off and I do not agree with the Star Wars mask worn throughout this book.Looking for an interesting read on new age Hegelianism? I think you will be pleased with your purchase. Though the 30 dollars may be a bit steep for what is offered. But I am sure the value will differ from individual to individual. I simply have a serious issue with the branding here and feel Foldes misses out on reaching the proper audience by trying to market to Jedi. Just unnecessary. The book is written in an approachable format that you do not have to be a philosophy major to understand it. Though if you are, the concepts will become instantly recognizable. But it is also just a way to get his former work more attention by rebranding. Be interesting to see if that works out.As it stands. Not Jedi. Not Star Wars. Simply a man's honest look at how one can apply Hegel's views to the modern world. Overall I can't give a better review under the current title and pricing. 15, and the old title? Just might be four stars.

Great Introduction to the FORCE
In his book “The Jedi Handbook of Global Education” Dr. Ken Foldes introduced me to the Jedi world view that unifies our consciousness, intuition and faith with the materialistic world we can observe. It points to an understanding of the unifying Force that binds our world together. Dr. Foldes reminds us that these ideas are not new, for they were described by philosophers, scientists and religious leaders over the centuries. Coming from a belief that our understanding of the world is only dependent on empirical evidence, I find the book an important counterweight indicating the importance of our intuition and consciousness to understand the Force. It is a book well worth reading.

Horrible Book, only bought it because the author who is the professor forced me to
This book is so horribly written and has no substance at all. I guess the only way for the author to make money is to assign it as a required reading material in a class that he teaches. I would have never paid $20 for this book if it wasn't required for my grades. Horribly written book. Just horrible.
