Coconut Secret The Original Amino Soy-Free Seasoning, 16.9 Ounce

I use this in place of soy sauce. It’s healthier for you and lower in salt than most. If you’re on thyroid medication and can’t have soy, this is a lifesaver. I use it a lot.

Great flavor. Be mindful of the sodium if you are monitoring your sodium intake (270mg per tablespoon). It works for proteins and vegetables. Great staple to keep in the pantry.

We've been using Braggs Aminos as a salty-sauce add-on to a meal-bowl that isn't quite right for 25 years. We use a variety of soy-bases sauces as well, including mushroom soys and other infused soy and tamaris. This "coconut amino" is quite different: it's sweeter, but more importantly it's a rounder, smoother mouth feel. It leaves an oily after taste, but it's not bad. It's similar to using coconut oil in food -- it's a heavy oil. This product is quite light, but there's an oily element to it that Braggs and normal soy sauces don't have. I like it. It's curious. We've tried it out a few times to 'pop' a meal that needs some salt and extra flavor, exactly in the circumstances we'd use braggs or a sprinkling of flavored soy sauce. If you're looking for a really simple amino-acid salty additive for your meals, this is the wrong product. But if you have tried a few or twenty-dozen salty-sloshes, this is very interesting. If you've never tried any of these, instead of salting ("seasoning") your dish: start with a gluten-free tamari. Then try Braggs Amino. Know the difference. Then try "sodium free" potassium/calcium salts. Once you're past that, this is a fun and weird alternative.

Ha in ottimo sapore e si sposa bene con gli ingrediënti per esempio di una vinaigrette, sostituisce molto bene per chi non può più usare prodotti a base di soia il tamari. Non c’è un tappo salvagocce nella bottiglia, piccola pecca cui ho rimediato comprandone uno. D’estate lo tengo in frigo, mi da l’impressione così di assicurarne la qualità Il prezzo è altino, forse per via del fatto che è un prodotto oltremare.

Of all the coconut aminos I have tried, this is the nicest tasting one. It was even delicious mixed with wasabi for sushi! I wish it was cheaper, it goes so fast

Coconut Secret "Original" Aminos is to my mind an excellent product if you wish to avoid Soy Sauce. I use it for stir fries and any type of recipe that calls for soy sauce. There are many great recipes out in recipe land that mentions using coconut aminos instead of soy sauce. There are other brands of coconut aminos that taste good but you can't go wrong with "Coconut Secret"! It also comes in various flavours, e.g. garlic etc. The Amazon.ca price on this particular bottle was a really good buy compared to some of the health food stores that sell this exact size! Give it a try!
