Do you know what gauge this wire is? I'm looking for 9 gauge in order to make some hoops for my garden.

I purchased this w/o caring much about the actual gauge. The description is apparently incorrect: this item number (Hillman #123106) is 20-gauge (0.88mm); roll length is 175 feet.

Hello, can this be used for electrical fence applications? or should I use aluminum wire?

I'm not an expert on the topic of electrical fences, but two factors would favor the aluminum wire in my mind: (1) Aluminum is about twice as conductive as carbon steel (http://chemistry.about.com/od/moleculescompounds/a/Table-Of-Electrical-Resistivity-And-Conductivity.htm), which might make the Al more cost-effective from an electricity consumption perspective. (2) The aluminum shouldn't corrode as badly as the steel, and you don't want a layer of rust on the outside of your electrical fence wires, as it will probably reduce the 'poke' it gives out. (The zinc galvanized layer on the steel probably won't help much, since I assume you're planning to power it with AC--every time the fence swings positive when it's wet, the zinc layer will etch away a bit, eventually exposing the steel underneath.)

Can this be used to extend a radio antenna?

For the antenna, I use copper or Aluminum, your array or range of frequency is important.
