I’ve been using this furnace for several weeks now and love it. I did the refractory cement which I highly suggest before using for safety. I’m on probably my 10th melting with the little crucible, and everything is great. It’s affordable but overall quite nice. I’m excited to do lots more casting

So after I put it together and tried to pre-heat the unit, one side did not work. The seller did contact me to try to resolve the issue however it became clear this was a production issue.

Crazy amount of heat with the dual burners. Quick to set up (follow the directions) and quite easy. Notes to other purchasers, know what you are doing first, molten metal CAN kill you if you get hit in the right place or at minimum permanently disfigure you. Buy a good face mask, thick material pants, long sleeves that go over your glove sleeves, and leather boots are a minimum. Place your mold on something that won't burn and can get hot. If you put it on concrete it will break your concrete, so put it on a paver stone you don't care about, and put THAT on your concrete. If the stone has moisture in it, it can explode, so use a dry paver or a plate of steel would be even better. This thing will melt any aluminum you can throw at it. I cut down an old aluminum extension ladder and this thing gobbled it right up. After a little borax to clean the molten metal and straining off the slag (I purchased an all metal pasta scoop from walmart) I was able to pour some beautiful aluminum ingots.

The tips melted off. The thing quickly begins erode away. But it still melts my stuff but always needs maintenance. They used aluminum rivets on the lid and they melted away 1st use. Of course. Not bad overall though.

The kit comes with a lot of different pieces, and it’s not very clear how everything is supposed to go together or work. As a beginner, it felt overwhelming trying to figure it out.

After my homebuilt smelter wouldn't heat enough to melt bronze, I bought this. Came in two days. Set up in minutes, connected to a standard propane tank, and fired it up. It melted a crucible of bronze in 15 minutes and I was able to pour a nice set of pattern weights with little trouble. Seems durable and works easily. Would buy again.

The quality of this item is not good, the materials are cheap, not recommend

This thing works as it should but they rivet a little handle on the lid the rivets melted and the handle fell off not really a big deal still works as it should.
