I ordered these lamps on may 8th and keep getting shipping delay notices… if i were to cancel and reorder it says i can receive them by tues- why??

Sometimes the order has a glitch. I’ve had this happen on a few occasions. When I’ve reordered, I’ve always received the shipment in a timely manner.

how wide is the base?

The lamps are not exactly like the ones I have but look very similar. The base is square and is 4 3/4 inches. Mine are not 3 way and not touch control.

What size is the lampshade?

Lampshade is 11 inches across the top. Shade is not very big but I like the size.
