Do they need to be refrigerated before being opened?

They need to be refrigerated after opening.

Do you have to refrigerate after opening?

Yes,you need to refrigerate and they last for months, if need be. As learned from a Japanese relative, I have kept a package or two in my refrigerator at all times for last 20+ years. These plums are also excellent for indigestion, acid reflux and feelings of nausea or in wellness.
