NOT Sharp !!! and Cannot be Sharpened. The Carbon Steel used for fabrication, is extremely cheap and brittle, Cannot be Sharpened and will not hold an edge. Marketing Scam, Your Future research will confirm my statement ... Looks good - Piece of Garbage, Don't waste your money .

hi -The blade from tip to heel by straight line is approx. 51/2 in. Very heavy for size, very sharp but in m opinion not really a chef knife as the blade is to curved. I have about 40 chef knives and this knife has been used once. Seems awkward to cut anything. Would not buy again.

I would say yes! It is a strong, heavy blade that is sharp. It will cut the joints of wings, drumstick/thighs, and thigh/breast joints too.
