Very fun!
My Pre-K class loved reading this over and over. Once they learn the few words in the book they can read by themselves. Teaches a good lesson about sharing.

Great for Young Kids
This is a fun book for all ages. My 10 month old niece loved this book. She would smile when I turned the page. My 5 year old niece also though it was funny. The book teaches a good lesson about sharing while only using 2 words.

Book is not in good condition
I searched really long and hard for this board book version of the book. Sadly it has some significant scratching and and dirt on the cover. The scratches didnβt break the surface but are like someone used it as a base for scribbling on a piece of paper.

Banana! by Ed Vere
A very cute book! It's for very early readers or for kids who can construct their own narratives on the basis of illustrations. I got it because my grandson's favorite word is BANANA! He loved the book! The art work is bold, funny, and meaning-laden. It's a picture book--very few words, art work bleeds off the pages. If you want a "message," it's about sharing.

So stinking cute!!!
I love reading this book to my daughter and using different voices to read the two words used. My 3 1/2 year-old reads along with me and the simplicity of the book and use of only two words is helping her to read. And the monkeys are totally cute too.

Grandchild approved
Bought this for my 16 month old grandson who just loves to say banana, but his 4 yr. old brother loves it too and thought it was very funny!

thank heavens for a readable book about sharing
This book only has two words in it, 'banana' and 'please'. The pages are acid bright with spare but wonderfully lively illustrations of the trauma of the relationship between two monkeys and only one banana.Vere's clever use of line makes for some fabulous monkey expressions which tell the whole story way better than hundreds of words could do. It is highly entertaining, full of humour and just delicious. We loved it, particularly the page where the monkey without the banana has a full on temper tantrum. In fact, that page was so good, we have spent many minutes gazing at it in rapture. There's nothing better than a child watching someone else having a full on attack of rage. It is wonderfully compelling.

Banana! Ed Vere
This is a brilliant book about a baby monkey who wants someone else to give him a banana...this is a really funny book for children particularly of 3-5 years of age. It goes through the range of emotions the poor baby monkey goes through when pleading for his Banana!!!!! I recommend it as a great present :)The kids at the school I help at are now trying to borrow it first when getting it as a library book...it will be in demand now for many weeks as there are 32 children in the class!!! Banana!Banana!
