Well worth the money
I got this humidifier a little over three years ago due to needing one while I sleep after getting a sinus surgery. This thing has absolutely been worth every penny! The duration of how long I get use from it is about three nights from a full tank. I don’t run in on full power, maybe about 3/4 of the way, due to the fact that it will make my smoke alarm in my room go off. I found that the best way to keep this thing clean is to put a tablespoon of peroxide in the tank when I fill it. I also will drain it completely out after the three days of the tank being used up, spray it with a mild sanitizing solution of bleach and water, and let it dry during the day before I fill it up again that night. I don’t have any issues with mold due to that method. The only thing that I have noticed negatively happening, and I don’t know if I need to consider this negative since it has no affect to the functionality, is the fact that the black rubber washer is getting scale on it. I am sure that if I used reverse osmosis water or distilled water, it wouldn’t be doing this. Again, it functions flawlessly. On top of all this, it’s super quiet. This was very important to me for my quality of sleep. All in all, I have to say that I’m super pleased with this purchase and it ha definitely made my life better

AquaOasis® Cool Mist Humidifier (6 L Water Tank) Is a Good Home Humidifier
What I like: The AquaOasis® Cool Mist Humidifier (6L Water Tank) is so quiet I have to put my ear next to the base unit to hear the fan - the fan is what you hear in most humidifiers. This also means that the fan is maybe not as powerful as other, louder, humidifiers. This humidifier produces a fine, fog-like mist. There's no sense of a spray of droplets. You can see the mist disappearing as it diffuses into the room air. I can lift and maneuver the 6L tank when it's full - a little less than 13 1/4 lbs. A larger tank would be difficult. The filling cap removes and replaces easily. The tank re-seats easily after filling. When the mist control dial is set vertically, a nearly full tank of water will last for about 25 hours, meaning it has a little grace period if you're used to filling it about the same time every day. The interior does not seem to build up scale as quickly as previous units we've used. The unit shuts off when the tank is empty. The unit does not glow at night - or during the day, for that matter. Our AquaOasis® Cool Mist Humidifier worked right out of the box and has worked reliably and continually since. What I don't like: The tank seals all the way around the base unit, and the seal is difficult to break when you want to refill the tank and there is still water in the tank to lubricate the seal. The only thing on the base to hold it down while trying to break the seal is the power cord. The handle on the water tank of necessity faces the wrong way - it is awkward. After filling the tank, with it upside down, the handle faces toward the faucet, so you have to reach around and under the tank to get to the handle. The elongated dome shape makes the tank a bit unstable while filling. I use our laundry sink because it's deep enough to hold the tank and has a high, inverted-U faucet, but it takes 1'15" to fill the tank. I can't free hold it that long bending over the sink, so I put it down on the sink floor, with the tank's vapor spout in the sink's large drain to begin with, and that puts the fill hole tilted upward under the faucet so air can escape. Then as the tank gets about 3/4s full, I use the depression in the tank bottom for the base vent as a grip to rotate the back of the tank upward so the fill hole becomes more or less level. That way I can fill it almost totally full, but at no time can I let the tank go without holding it somewhere. Once full, there's the reaching under the front to get to the handle situation. The included instructions show a red warning light for when the unit has run dry and shut off. Either we have a defective unit or that feature has been eliminated, as we have no warning light. It's no big deal. The unit does shut off, and it's obvious when no vapor is coming out of the spout. The rotating mist spout should IMHO direct the mist upward more. The mist spout is a friction fit into the vapor spout without a rotation collar. You do have to remove the mist spout to conveniently fill the tank. We have the laundry sink and a kitchen sink, both with high, inverted-U faucets as usable fill stations. A bath tub would be an alternative, but holding the tank while bending over the side of a tub might not be practical depending on your physical condition. If all you have is standard sinks (showers, but no tub), consider carefully how you would fill this humidifier. While these filling considerations might be deal breakers for some folks, making multiple trips with a pitcher are why I won't consider a top-filling humidifier. Our other, older, smaller bottom-filling humidifier died last night, so I will be ordering a second AquaOasis® Cool Mist Humidifier as soon as I finish this review.

Excellent purchase
I have owned a 2L version of this humidifier for 4 years and use it continuously all winter. It runs flawlessly and only needs an occasional cleaning. I use water from an under-sink charcoal filter. On the highest setting, it adds 6L per day to the air (need to fill 3X per day). I recently bought the 6L version and it also works great. On the highest setting, it adds 10L per day (need to fill 2X per day). Together, they raise the house humidity by about 15% which is good, but I'd like it higher. I will purchase another 6L version. The 2L version is also good for a bedroom when you have a sore throat or stuffy sinuses.

This model has a nozzle to direct or aim the mist. Some Other small models do not.
This particular model is so much better than the smaller versions. It fits under the bathroom spigot to fill. And has a moveable SPOUT to direct mist. Plus it's a Lot easier to undo the bottom screw cap. The small model from last yr. argued every time lining up the threads. (Not much to grip to tighten with either) Don't buy one without the movable spout because the mist only goes straight up then the mist lands directly on your table. Had to cover my table with a plastic bag with a towel on top. I ended up making an aluminum spout last yr for the small one to direct the mist outward and away from unit. Bonus with this model if I run it on low it runs for two days. Life expenency is 2 yrs with hard water.

Large Capacity/ Easy To Clean/ Breathing Easier at Night
This is an awesome product especially during the winter months. If you have a built in whole house humidifier built into your HVAC unit, then great. But this is a simple inexpensive fix if you don't. I use it everyday at night and during the daytime on my days off. It has a large dial for different settings. If you are using the highest setting and you put it on a night stand, I recommend putting a towel or something on you carpet or floor near the humidifier because at the highest setting it pumps out a lot of moisture. I recommend using filtered water using one of the sink attachments. This way you are inhaling clean water vapor that does not have any contaminents in it. Regular city/township tap water is not great to inhale as a vapor. You do not know what is in it. Chemicals, Chlorine, Pharmaceuticals etc... The water filter I use is PUR with the sink attachment. Cleaning the tank with dish soap and water once a week is what I do. DO NOT submerse the bottom part of the humidifier in water. Just clean it with a damp micro fiber cloth. I also use a 2.5 gallon/9.75 liter BPA free plastic collaspible bag for the filtered water storage. I recommend this humidifer.

Soaks everything around it
After using this humidifier on the lowest setting, I noticed that everything around it was getting soaked. I had to change my daughter’s sheets in the middle of the night because they were completely wet. I really wish I had used this right after I bought it because I would have returned it, but unfortunately, now I’m stuck with it. Definitely disappointed with this purchase and would not recommend it.

Works well, very difficult to clean
Eventually mold builds up and the unit needs cleaning, which is to be expected. But the unit was not designed for easy cleaning. Many nooks and crannies that are very difficult to reach, even with a toothbrush
