For years, I have looked for a wooden handled two-tine fork like the one my grandmother had and passed on to my mother and then she to me. Never found one in kitchen stores, so I tried Amazon, and my search netted this fork, which clearly earns its name in my home. When it arrived, the wood was not really smooth, like the one I had which was worn smooth with years of use, so I took the new fork to my workshop and applied light sanding and finished with steel wool and olive oil. Fabulous! Great balance and feel. Perfect for food prep, cooking, meat carving, etc. love this fork which is now a basic tool in out kitchen.

I searched high and wide for a new kitchen fork, often called a Grandma fork. Mine, which I had for almost 40 years must have been thrown out with kitchen trash. I can’t function without that kind of fork. This one I ordered through Amazon certainly works well in my kitchen, cooking bacon, steaks, fried potatoes. It does a great job and holds up nice in the dishwasher. A great bargain for something quite hard to find in stores. Thank you

My granny fork came "carded" with a list of uses on one side and some additional information on the back along with an Item No., UPC Code and boldly printed MADE IN CHINA. The card was slipped inside a plastic sleeve, sealed with a label stuck on it with a different set of numbers and printed on it, "Made in the USA". This is a nicely crafted little fork, the tines and shank are polished stainless steel, no rough spots, the handle is walnut, smoothly finished with brass rivets. Great feel in the hand. I knocked off one star because of the conflicting description of origin, otherwise great. Have ordered four more for Christmas stocking stuffers.

This is the 3rd fork I have bought. After many years of searching thrift stores looking for a fork like my grandmother's and finding Dexter on line ( at a price I would never pay for a fork) I found these forks on Amazon. They are perfect. Exactly what I wanted at a price I could afford. Just like grandma's, a little thicker metal and not quite as smooth a handle but not having over 70 years of wear either. As I said exactly what I wanted.

I assumed (bad move right there I guess) this 2 prong serving fork would be the traditional size to use to secure a roast while you sliced it. Unfortunately this fork was barely larger than a dinner fork. For $15.00 I was incredibly disappointed. When my husband saw it and asked how much I paid I didn't dare tell him $15.00 so I fibbed and told him it was $4.95. I will never purchase anything from this seller again. Who would have thought to look for overall size in inches? Besides that, it didn't even give the measurements of this fork. Now I still have to look to buy another one and this will just get shoved to the back of the utensil drawer. sigh.

Just the right size for most kitchen chores. Well made and easy to clean. Good value for the cost.

Granny forks are a kitchen necessity, and especially good for handling/slicing meat. Now that I have it in my second home, I find I'm using it every day. Would have given it five stars, but the wood is not sanded smooth, which is vaguely irritating. I have another one from the Vermont Country Store, which felt better in the hand, but was probably much more expensive! Do buy this; you will use it!

J'ai mis 3 sur 5 à cause de la taille. C'est ma faute, car je n'ai pas lu précisément la description du produit. Il est plus petit et moins solide que celui que j'avais avant. Je trouve que c'est un peu cher pour ce que c'est, mais c'est pas grave, on l'utilisera quand même.
