TS005 Stud Finder, Multi-Scanner Edge-Finding Studsensor Detector with LCD Display for Metal/Live AC Wire/Wood/Deep

I bought this for my son. He's had no complaints.

This stud finder does not work well. I have had it for a couple of years now and have used it many times. Kept giving me false readings. I put at least two to three extra holes in my wall every time I use it. I work in the construction industry so I am quite familiar with using a stud finder. I’m very disappointed. The last time I used it I threw it away because of the all of the false readings and the damage to my walls because of it.

This studfinder has never found a stud in my wall. Ever. Its "detection" of studs is completely random and is in no way related to the actual position of studs behind drywall. Awful.

I hung 2 TV mounts and the Fetanten found the studs 100% of the time. Awesome.

This thing doesn't find anything, knocking on the wall is actually more accurate than this device. Even putting your finger on the wall and rolling dice is likely to be as accurate at this thing. I should have returned it but was too lazy unfortunately.

Works great

I was mounting grab bars in a shower and was worried that I would miss the studs. After reading the instructions a few times, found some very good results, you need to push the button on a non stud part of the wall, hold it and move across the stud, and where you get the strongest indication should be the stud.It spot studs clearly through a thick wall with ceramic tile and concrete backer board between the sensor and the studs. Good product!

When I got this stud finder , I know it detects studs,metal ,and AC like most stud finder do, but there is also a "DEEP" scan mode on the screen display . I think it can scan deeper than other mode , so when the "Stud or Metal scan mode " is weak , I try to switch into "DeepScan mode" to check . The truth is that I was right . So cool !! Great!
