Does this car have any typical James Bond gadgets that I'm not seeing on any reviews?

No it does not I bought if for my 8 year old nephew and saw him build. The roof comes off and you have James Bond besides those two things nothing else.

Does he have a gun? Or is this Mr. Bond's mechanic?

If I remember correctly it comes with an extra peice that looks like a spy’s pistol. However I don't think its directly stated that its a gun but, you can assume it is. Think of it sort of as an easter egg.
