Sleeper Awaken (Atlantean Secrets) Review: This series is fantastic, among my favorite spiritual reads - This series is fantastic, among my favorite spiritual reads. The first book for some may be a bit hard to get into but sets the necessary background to provide the complete picture. Once things really take off about 3/4 the way into book and especially near the end, from then on in the series it really gets incredible. The main benefit for me aside from the overall insights and consciousness perspectives are the numerous descriptions or experiences of higher realms that provide excellent meditative visualizations. It does in fact awaken one to a sense of these higher planes or reality. The beauty too is that it is not just for its own sake but also as an engagement between the forces of good and evil and the various shades in between, such as the mediocrity that lulls the soul to sleep. Even being stuck in the box of ritual that has positive spiritual benefits but becomes a trap of not evolving higher if one is complacent is examined. Insights into healing, into spiritual warfare, the use of mantra and the spoken word, of communication from the Christ mind (called "the point" in the series), the multi-dimensional aspects of being and consciousness...there is so much content in this series and it is presented in a way unlike anything else I have read. Highly recommended!!! Review: Surprising and beautiful - I was searching on desertcart for something and I came across this purchase that I made 10 years ago. The purchase of this book, Sleeper Awaken. It has changed my life, I have read it a few times now. At first the spaces of the the book were so rich, I had a difficult time reading and receiving.. Now, I almost always shed a few tears of beauty and opening when I read a few chapters... it passes things that go beyond the mind, it touches something deep inside.

Sleeper Awaken!
This is a fabulous book. I have never read anything like it before in my life. It is spiritual fiction of a high magnitude. This book tells the story of a boy in his late teens to early 20's as he goes through a process of initiation and spiritual awakening. It is set in Atlantis during the final decades leading up to its destruction and describes the spiritual beliefs and practices of the civilization. It talks about energy. It talks about consciousness. It talks about light and dark, good and evil, connection to and separation from the world of spirit. It talks about "The Cosmological Ladder", the structure and nature of the hierarchy of consciousness that forms our world. Really amazing stuff. Well organized and well presented. The author, Samuel Sagan, was the founder of a spiritual organization in Australia called "Clairvision". The group heavily focused on third eye phenomenon and undertook a series of astral projection experiments where they systematically mapped the structure of consciousness. Many of their findings are woven into this book and the 3 other books of the "Atlantean Secrets" series. If you have an interest in such things, this book is well worth your time.

Worth reading more than once
You'll want to read this series more than once. First time for the story. Who doesn't like a saga based on ancient mythology where you can't quite tell what could be real and what slightly-less-than-real? Then you'll want to read it again for the multiple layers of wisdom teaching and methods to higher levels of consciousness. Warning: you might get caught up in the story even on the second read, which happened to me, so I will likely read them all again!

You need to read at least 40% of this book before you decide whether to finish it or not
You really need to read at least 40% of this book -- 150 pages or so -- before you decide whether you like it or not or whether you think it is any good. This is because the book (and saga) is slow-moving and rather long-winded, and the main narrator (Chapter 2 onwards) is pretty much of a dufus or simpleton (or, 'asleep') for the first 16 or so years of his life. For that reason, the first third or so of the book is often static or even somewhat dull or simplistic. By the 40% point, however, things are starting to move and change, and we get emotionally invested in the storyline and in the characters, and we also understand enough of the "lingo" (by the way, there is a glossary of Atlantean terms in the back) for things to make sufficient overall sense. One more piece of advice is that, if after 40% of the book you decide you like it, go ahead and order the second volume right away, so you won't be stuck at the end anxiously waiting to find out what happens next! In any case, after you finish the book, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you go back and re-read the first chapter of the book (the first 42 pages) -- because it will make a hell of a lot more sense now that you know the characters and the concepts, and you will pick up on dozens of things that made little to no sense the first time around. Enjoy!

spirituality at its best
Wow, this series is unlike anything else i have come across. It is layered and multi-dimensional in a way that opens you up to so many beautiful experiences. He writes in a way that facilitates understanding and experiencing of all kinds of amazing and consciousness expanding states. These books convey spiritual teachings and realities so well that I don't you could read the series and not be beneficially impacted. This book is unlike the others in that it is really just setting the stage and getting you ready for the next three. Within it you begin to understand Atlantis and what was happening in the temples there. To put it simply it is a bit slow until you get to the second half. At that point hold on because you are in for something you could have never expected.
