Works as described
I got into a bad wreck that cause the front end up my 98 mustang to be destroyed. The guy I bought it from had good latches on the car, but after the wreck, the hood was bent and they would no longer work. After much repair, we were able to get the hood looking okay again and replaced the broken hood latches with these. They ended up working out great. The are a little more flimsy than the ones that were on there before, but they definitely do the trick by 1) keeping the hood securely latched and 2) locked, so no one can get under the hood to steal anything.

I got exactly what I ordered. I love the fact they lock and are made of pretty durable heavy duty plastic so no rusting around the edges.

Buy The Real Thing
Spend the money and get the real aero catch pins. These are already a project to install in it of itself. Donโt want to install these and have them break right away or not fit which Iโve seen with the cheap version. Spend the extra 50 n save the headache

Sips fast, price is low and the plastic is strong, but posts are aluminum not steel
Arrived on time in oem package, then ABS plastic is very strong. I like the look of all the components as well, it's all made very well and painted nicely. My only complaint is the posts are aluminum, which means I can't weld the posts to my radiator support to anchor them. I do not like the locking nuts deal you have to use to secure the posts in place from the manufacturer. The posts flop around after a short time as the nuts loosen and there is little to nothing that can be done to stop them from loosening. I'll end up replacing those in the near future for steel ones that i can weld in. Aside form thast i give them a thumbs up!
