Twist on End Weights (Set of 4) Grips NOT Included

The twist on right where my old weights twisted off. Easy. Hundreds of reps with a light weight is a good way to switch up the workout routine. It's drives the cardio vascular system like crazy, and the pump stays with you for hours.

The old weights with my first heavy hands did not last very long. The new ones are durable but you must paint them with Rustoleum to keep them from rusting through oxidation of the surface since they are stainless steel.

Exactly what I expected. Finely machined. Should last a life time.

I've had Heavy Hands with a selection of different weights so wanted to complete the set. I ordered these because I couldn't find an option: no used ones on ebay, no closing gyms willing to sell some, etc. But they're plain steel (not even stainless steel), with very little machining. For four weights, perhaps $5 in raw metal bar, 15 minutes worth of machining, and then shipping. The total was ~$250. I did it anyway and I might add very reluctantly. The site even tells you they're going to rust and you have to paint them yourself to prevent it. At that price you'd think they could have been coated. Again, I knew the price, I knew what I was getting, and did it only to complete a set. Otherwise I'd never do it again.

When I first saw the prices I thought it was a joke. I have my original AMF Heavy Hands (I think I brought them for under $20.00 thirty years ago). and they are in mint condition but I wanted to get weights other than the 1 pound ones that I have. It is true, you cannot get the weights alone on Ebay but you can still buy them (grips). I bought a good used pair on Ebay, although I wanted just for the weights, and the grips came with 4, three pound sets and 4, 2 pound sets....all for under $40 dollars and there were plenty available. If you pay the amount of money listed just for the weights you are either crazy or have money to 'throw away.'

Rip off. Waaaayyyy tooooo expensive. Do not buy. Ordinary small dumbells will work, too. It's not the equipment but the method that will do the job. You can also get Schwartz's book from a library or through an interlibrary loan.
