what is the number of the battery for this?

It requires one : 3V 2032 battery.

Why doesn’t my remote close the garage door? Only causes the light to flash.

Here are some questions that need to be addressed: Did you order the proper transmitter for the particular color of synch light on the back of your opener? Did you properly synch your transmitter with the garage door opener? Do you have something blocking the sensors at the bottom of your garage door?

Does it comes with batteries?

As I remember, the remote comes with a small disc battery (CR2032). If you some day need to replace the battery, Google - Liftmaster garage door remote battery replacement.

Think I have incorrect replacement remotes can you help me? Thanks

On the back or side of the motor there is a light could be red, orange or green or some other color. When you order the remote they list which color the remote is made to work with. You just have to match the color then easy to program.
