I like the size of this gas detector. It is lightweight and slim and sits easily in my hand. It is very simple to operate and comes supplied with two AAA batteries. They are easy to install. The bottom just unscrews and the batteries are inserted one at a time with the positive side first. When you turn it on, make sure you are in a space you know to be gas-free as it then calibrates itself. When it is ready to use, it beeps twice and enters high sensitivity mode. I use this to look for gas leaks, but there is a low sensitivity mode which requires more gas to build up before the alarm sounds. Test it using a gas burner unlit. Just turn it on a little and hold the detector in the vicinity. The alarm will start beeping and when the gas has built up the green light turns red and beeping goes mad. Turn the gas off and then the detector will slowly turn green and the beep alarm slows until it stops.I am pleased to have it as I sometimes think I can smell gas near my meter. I tested it with this detector and it seems fine. I have also checked my gas cooker point, as it used to leak gas years ago before I had it changed and the boiler. All fine, thankfully.A brilliant little tool to keep handy though. It comes with a little pouch to store it in the toolbox.The only slight bug, and reason I've knocked a star off is that it calibrates itself every time you turn it on. It is not just on first use. It takes about 45 seconds each time. I would like to just be able to turn it on to check for gas. A minor point though. I would recommend every household with gas appliances gets one of these. The instructions advise checking for leaks weekly. I probably won't do it that often!

Installed a new gas stove and used the soap test. Thought I’d double check everything with this tool and it didn’t detect any leaks.Thought I’d use it to check my gas finance and hot water tank.It found a very small leak at the flex hose fitting. Verified it with the soap test.Tightened the fitting and double checked it with soap and this tool. All was good.Worked great. Never would have known there was ever a leak at the hot water tank without this tool.Easy to use (just watched a few videos on it first).I will make this part of my house routine whenever I change my fire alarm batteries I’ll use this tool to check my appliances.

今後の危険回避の為に購入。目に見えないガス漏れ発見に使用。ガスには匂いが付けてありますが気付かない場合もあるかもしれませんから。

Ich habe es getestet, und es funktioniert einwandfrei. Es gibt mir ein gutes Gefühl, besonders in der Küche oder im Heizungsraum, wo es immer ein Risiko gibt.Insgesamt ein zuverlässiges Gerät, das man wirklich empfehlen kann.
