We were looking to add Grampy to the doll house family mix and this doll didn’t disappoint. The doll is well made, cute, bendable. Just the right size for the doll house furniture and cars. Great buy.

These dolls are adorable!!!! I saw all the reviews of people being offended which I think is silly, coming from an actual Asian family I'm not offended at all. But the dolls are good quality, they were packaged well, and the perfect size for little hands. So far they seek durable. Well I'm off to play with my kids now, just a note for future buyers if Asian looking dolls offend you just get dolls that are other races, there's nothing offensive about these dolls there are as I said adorable. To everyone complaining about the eyes being slanty, yes that's how Asian eyes look and I grew up seeing lots of boys with bowl cuts.

Cute family, very sturdy, easily poseable bodies. I love Plan Toys in general - their products are super eco-consious, and I really appreciate their business practices. My only negative regarding this is that the belt on the mom doll comes off really easily. It is attached at the back of her dress, so it won't just fall off, but it is really difficult to get it to stay buckled, and it frustrates my daughter. We may just cut it off. Otherwise, this is a really great set, and the minor inconvenience of the belt is not a big deal when all is said and done. ***Just as a note - for anyone looking to purchase this to go with any of the Hape dollhouses, these dolls fit wonderfully in all of the furniture except for the shower. Only the children fit in the shower, so if this is a big issue for you, go with the Hape family as the adults in that set are basically the same height as the children in this one.

What an adorable set with a dual function! Absolutely love how they spin to change from a sitting to a standing position. My almost 2 year old loves them. They fit perfectly with her little doll house. Very well built and even better designed.

These Plan Toys Asian Family dollhouse dolls are very cute and well made. They are reasonably flexible so that you can make them sit or stand or appear to do things reasonably well. However, it would be very very useful if the dolls could be sold separately with custom ordered skin color, eye color, hair color, and hair length. We were trying to create a family of dolls to go with a Navajo hogan. The only Indian dolls you have do not look Navajo at all. The Asian dolls came the closest and we will need to adjust the clothing and will be unable to give the men long hair which would be more appropriate. Mixed race families will have an even harder time creating a family to emulate their own. Most folks can't afford to purchase three sets of dolls in order to get for instance a black father, a caucasian mother, and a mixed race child. I believe you would gain a lot of new customers if you could sell the dolls individually and even more if they could be customized.

This is a GREAT family set. I was in desperate search for a doll family for my 2 year old's dollhouse that were easy for her to pose and stand up, but weren't horrendously ugly. That's a fairly tall order, until we found these. I also have the Melissa and Doug Victorian family, and though I prefer those dolls in style, they are more "barbie-like" - bendable plastic. They don't pose easily and they have tiny little feet and though they CAN stand up, it's not something that's easy to do consistently, and it's impossible for my daughter. These are fantastic. They are far cuter in person than the pictures. I love that they're wood and all non-toxic. They all have over-sized feet that make them super easy to stand, and they bend and pose easily. We use them in a 1:12 scale dollhouse with Le Toy Van furniture and it's easy to bend their legs at the knees to have them sit in chairs. All their limbs are rope-covered wire. My husband thinks the Dad looks like a dork (he does), but that's our only complaint. One note - all the dolls have a block for a torso with the rope limbs extending from it... so you can't really pull the pants or skirts down lower than mid-waist because they'll fall off. It's not a big deal at all, but it's not obvious from the picture why all the pants/skirts are pulled up so high! If I was designing my perfect doll family, I wish there was an option for a same-gender siblings (we have two daughters and wanted a doll family to mimic her real family), but I know that Plan Toys sells individual boys and girls, so that's a nice option.

I have to say the dolls themselves are fine, but what were they thinking when they designed the "dad" in this set?? He is the ugliest looking thing!! His hair is sticking out all over and is some kind of horrid orange color. He looks like a total goober. Even my daughter looked at him like "what is THAT??" The skirt on the daughter doesn't stay up most of the time and my daughter is too small to fix it herself. The son looks like he came from some other parents. But they are still okay for pretend play. My daughter loves playing with little wooden dolls like this, so they aren't a total waste, just be prepared for one funny looking family!
