Great Purchase.
Printer was easy to set up and prints copies quickly and clearly. I am very happy with this purchase. No subscription was required, a plus!

Perfect for what I need
I basically only need a printer to print the occasional label and save myself time and heartache at the post office. And this works perfect. Install was a breeze and worked from the first label printed. For those "IT professionals" saying the install is terrible, I highly doubt that claim since I am also. You also can't treat a home office printer the same as a commercial printer shared out on a server. Just follow the 3 steps in the setup guide and you're good to go. Even over wifi. This is an easy recommend.

HP Smart Connect isn't smart, nor does it connect.
The printer itself is fine. Setup is a disaster. The ironically named 'HP Smart Connect' app is a disaster. It won't 'sense' your printer. HP support is nonexistent. The webpage support is basically "turn it off/on, delete/reinstall. repeat." Useless. Do this instead to save yourself HOURS. Open Chat GPT on your phone, give the make and model, tell it you want to connect DIRECTLY. It'll give instructions to connect directly to the printer's WiFi page (this is why you used your phone to contact Chat GPT). Once on the printer's local page, setup is simple (there's a setup wizard). Once you've managed that, the printer is good. I'll probably never purchase HP again; their software is a nightmare and their support is nonexistent.

Excellent Quality
I needed a printer to be able to print school materials in Word, Excel, pdf & PowerPoint format that included wireless and remote printing features, the capabilities of double-sided printing to save an paper as well as printing in grayscale only (black and white), and this printer does exactly that. I have been able to print a ton of school work, the ink is durable & it doesn’t run, and it prints material fast. This has been an excellent product. Will definitely purchase again

Prints nice but WiFi setup was nightmare (with a fix)
This prints very nice with PCL 6 and real Adobe Postscript Level 3 V3017. I initially tried the wireless setup app reference in the docs, and it failed. I connected an Ethernet cable and made it work. Updated the firmware and used the WiFi setup wizard on the printer web page (password is inside the toner cartridge compartment). Spent HOURS trying to get get WiFi to work and was just about to return the printer. My Ubiquity management console showed it connected to WiFi (although roaming between WiFi access points excessively) and it had an IP address, but you could not access the printer web page or print to it. One last idea was to do a secure erase from the printer web page, accessed over Ethernet. After this cold reset, I did the WiFi setup wizard (over Ethernet) and WiFi worked correctly. MANY minus points for lame setup, plus points for fast first page, high print quality, prints from my iPhone, or Windows laptop, or Linux system. I would offhand get something else but don't know of another low cost laser printer that includes Postscript. CUPS Postscript test page says it's 600x600 DPI, not the 1200 DPI claimed in the Windows config dialog. I'm a highly experienced software and hardware engineer, and my WiFI setup issues were not user error.

Laserjet Pro 3001dw
Love it, love it. I have been using the printer for 5 months now. I had to purchase a new printer as the old one didn't have drivers for the newest Windows. The set up was easy. I had a desktop, 2 laptops and a phone printing within an hour of set up. I love being able to print on both sides of the paper. I have had no issues to date.

Initially okay but failed after four months.
Worked well until I changed my wi-Fi system. Then It would not disengage from the original one and would not therefore not work. I spent four hours with online techs and and their escalation team before they would replace the defective unit. Support was lousy.

Very easy to set up; took about 15 minutes to set up to two laptops and two phones. Works really well.

I purchased the HP LaserJet Pro 3001dw specifically because it was advertised as supporting automatic duplex printing. My primary need was A5 duplex printing, which the product appeared to support — the paper tray is even marked for A5. However, after setting up the printer, I discovered that it cannot perform duplex printing on A5 paper at all. This makes the printer completely unsuitable for the purpose I bought it for. I contacted HP support several times through the hotline, but each time the outcome was a failure — no fix, no workaround, and no refund offered. This is extremely disappointing from a company of HP’s reputation. If you need duplex printing on A5, be warned: this printer will not deliver what is promised. Misleading specifications and poor customer support have made this a frustrating and regrettable purchase.

I needed a good, basic, cheap printer that is dependable. I'm tired of inkjet printers that dry or clog up so I bought this HP Laserjet Pro on sale and it works great! I've only printed 3 pages so far but they come out lightning fast (within 5 seconds) and the text is really clear! Shipping was very fast (within 2 days)!

Printer works decently, the setup was quite easy, the print quality is good and the toner page yield is fairly decent. I wish it had an inbuilt scanner. Nonetheless, I would recommend for a home office or small business. I’ve had the printer for a month but i will edit this if any changes after 6months.
