incredibly easy to use! As a professional chef of over 25 years, economy of motion is an extremely unserved aspect in a lot of gadget design. the Helix (?) style mechanism means even someone with mobility issues should be able to mash their potatoes with ease. Nice and fluffy potatoes, I bought this for making gnocchi but am excited to make mashed potatoes after seeing the resulting texture. I’m also ordering the garlic sized press, I’m so pleased with the design (and ease of cleaning) with this.

This was more heavy duty than I was expecting. The plastic is very dense, and feels like it might have metal inside the handle. The weight of it might be difficult for those with significant disability, but I found that it made it easy to generate enough force to easily break down potatoes. I didn't have issues with potato getting stuck in the holes. It was also a bit larger than I expected from images, so make sure you have enough drawer space to store it. It has tabs on the top handle that slot into tracks on the bottom handle. This makes it very easy to use once you get familiar with the movement.

GLORIOUS mashed potato’s. My girl was feeling come potato’s the other day but didn’t want to go through the whole mashing process by hand so we ended up ordering out. I bought this for her that evening and we’ve been eating the best homemade mashed potato’s since. It is a bit pricey, but feels so sturdy the quality and material are top tier, like it’ll last a lifetime quality, amazing. The clean up after is also so easy, would recommend a thousand times again.

It’s larger than expected and heavy. With effort, it works exactly as needed.

Easy to use and easy to clean up

11 months of very regular use with the previous one in absolute perfection, and then I go and break the cardinal rule in potato ricing: I didn’t peel them before boiling. I was in a hurry and didn’t think about it. I tried to force it and broke one of the tabs (see pic). I have no bad feelings about the ricer. It was my fault, NOT the build quality. Not only does it look great, it also performs perfectly. I’ve riced 20lbs at a time with it on several occasions with no issue. The twist motion is a lot easier than the old top-down presses of the past. Easy to clean as well. When I broke the first one a couple nights ago, I immediately ordered a replacement. I like it that much. Treat it well and it should last a very long time.

Initial impression was a sturdy well built design. Very ergonomic and even my young daughter was able to use it. The Bad: The tolerances on metal cup and plastic helix piece are way too loose. When ricing potatoes, about 10% of the potato squeezes out the sides and over the top of the actual cup. So you then need to scrape all that off into the bowl or pot before you can do another cup. Also you have another 5% that has squeezed into the little grooves on the plastic helix part. This thing is huge, thick, and oddly shaped. It's a pain to store. Annoyances but still usable. I ordered mine around the end of April 24, (didn't receive for a couple months) it's now Sep 26 24. I hand-wash it but noticed water leaking out from hollow area in the plastic helix. When I tipped it more mildew smelling dark tinted water came out. Its outside the amazon rerurn window and im not going to bother with warranty. Unsure why they used a 2 piece design on the top and didn't seal it well. It seems like the guy who designed the lower half got fired before he did the top.

Excellent potato ricer. Easy to use and very solid. The key is not the overcook the potatoes though. Otherwise, the mash turns very gluey.

Love this so much. Great for arthritis hands to use too. So easy, you'll want to make mashed potatoes every day.

Dieser Küchenhelfer ist super. Gegenüber den üblichen Kartoffelpressen benötigt man bei dieser fast keine Kraftaufwendung. Am Anfang ist das Zusammendrehen etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber nach den ersten paar Kartoffeln hat man den Dreh heraus. Reinigung sehr leicht sowohl händisch, als natürlich auch in der Maschine. Empfehlenswert.

Just used this last night, and it blew my mind! Lol seriously I've had a couple of heavy duty ricers and they did a good job, but they always had 3 main issues, first holes all around (causes the mash to spurt out all over the place, instead of straight down into the bowl), second, less waste (others left anything from 1 to 2 cm of potato in the bottom of the press unable to go through), and third clean up, (potato gets into all the nooks and crannies making it a pain to clean). This ricer though only has holes in the bottom, and due to the unique design it leaves a tiny smear of potato, less than a mm, and clean up took seconds, run under the tap, quick once over with soapy sponge to remove any starch, then rinse. Also I have quite weak hands so the design means I can use it a lot easier. The only slight negative is the size of the hopper, you can fit about 4 or 5 large (think large baked potato cut into 4) pieces of potatoes in, but it's so quick and effortless that it's not a bother. If you want a ricer buy this, I know it's pricey but it's quality, I'm never a slave to brands, I also look at reviews to get the best value. I can not recommend this highly enough!

Cercavo una cosa del genere da anni, e quando l'ho visto su Amazon non ci potevo credere, ho più di qualche cosa della stessa marca, ottimi prodotti, sempre al di sopra delle aspettative, in questo caso per me é stato determinante il fatto, che siano due pezzi singoli che poi si uniscono, minimo sforzo e massima resa, spreco del prodotto che si spreme ridotta veramente ad una quantità davvero minima, poi vogliamo parlare del lavaggio? Si lava in un nano secondo, proprio per il fatto che si divide in due pezzi singoli, e comunque va tranquillamente in lavastoviglie, dove viene fuori come nuovo! Altra cosa per me importante era il cestello, lo volevo medio piccolo, perché più che altro volevo usarlo per spremere la mozzarella per la pizza, e funziona alla perfezione! Poi ci faccio ogni genere di purea, dai legumi alla zucca le carote le zucchine... in ultimo le patate pensate un po'...!!! Lo straconsiglio sicuramente, come un articolo che non dovrebbe mai mancare nella nostra cucina, lo ricomprerei 100 volte!
